The final payment

The entire week Jenny had been busy with school and the class representative tasks. After school she had to go to her job at the nursing home, which had become increasingly awkward since the confession she had gotten, and after work she would study with Jason until it was time to go to bed. Despite her exhausting week, this morning she still got up early in the morning from excitement. This was because the weekend had arrived, which meant that she could finally go and up Jason's watch and make the final payment. She had waited for this moment for a long time and now it was finally there.

Aside from her excitement, she needed to make sure that Jason wouldn't see the gift. The best way to achieve that was to have him not know when the gift would be bought and when it would arrive inside the house. So, she had used the excuse of going out for a run as the reason why she had to go outside. Running was something she usually would enjoy when she was preparing for exams as exercise helped keeping your mind focused and made you feel energized. Making it easier to study. Now that they had started preparing for their final two exams as high school students, her picking up running again wasn't suspicious. She hoped that if she went early in the morning, he would be too tired to wake up with her and fall back asleep. That way, even when she returned, he would probably still be in bed or at the most he would have just gotten downstairs for breakfast. Either way he wouldn't be in the other room. So, in both cases it would allow her to sneak into their room to hide the gift somewhere he wouldn't look.

It was just past seven when she tried to get out of bed, waking Jason in the process as he had been holding her as usual. Though his eyes remained closed, his furrowed brows and grumblings made it clear he had been woken up and he wasn't happy. Subconsciously his hand searched the bed for the small thing that had escaped from his arms. When he couldn't find it, he tried to wipe the sleep from his eyes as he asked, "Where are you going? Come back to bed." Jenny chuckled. Though she had told him that she would go out for a run last night, he seemed to have forgotten it in his current state. "I am going out for a run, remember? Go back to sleep, it is still very early."

Jenny loved how Jason was in the mornings. Though neither of them were morning people, they reacted to early mornings very differently. Though his reaction might be influenced by who had woken him as most other people didn't dare disturb his sleep. But when it was just the two of them, it would usually be that she would be a grumpy mess whereas he would show a surprisingly cute side. A big contrast with his usual over confident self. Today was no different as he held out the arm he had used to search the bed for her, gesturing for her to hold his hand. With a soft laugh, Jenny lowered her body to allow her hand to reach his. But the moment she did, he pulled her down fully and flung his own upper body towards hers. Placing his head against hers and putting his arm around her body, trying to pull her back into bed. Jenny laughed and struggled to break herself free. But her resistance was futile. She started tapping his arm as if she was taping out of fight in a wrestling match. "Come on Jace, let go of me. It's going to rain later in the morning. I don't want to get wet." But the half asleep Jason seemed to answer on pure instinct, saying "Don't wanna.". Letting out a deep breath afterwards.

Jenny had made an appointment at the store at 8:00 AM, when the store opens. If she wanted to have breakfast and still be on time, she needed to get up now and couldn't afford to lose more time here. As desperate times call for desperate measures, Jenny resorted to the one way she knew she could get away from Jason. If she weren't in a hurry, she would have considered the kinder approach, tickling him to make him let go, but with that there was always the chance of him trying to pin her down. If that happened, she was sure to be late for her appointment. So, that wasn't an option for today. Leaving her with the meaner approach, that should have a similar response aside from the making Jason excited. While his defenses were down, she opened her mouth and bit down hard in the arm that was holding her down. "Auch!" Instantly the arm was pulled back and Jenny jumped up from the bed. By the time Jason found out why she had bit him and had the chance to grab her arm again, she had already moved out of his reach. "Sorry, I really have to go." He mumbled some curses under his breath as Jenny ran into the bathroom with a giggle, leaving the disgruntled Jason behind.

By the time she was done in the bathroom and had changed into her running clothes, Jason had already fallen back asleep. With a gentle smile she looked at his sweet sleeping face, before she placed a soft kiss on the place she had bitten him before and headed out of the room. Feeling slightly bad about the mark she had left behind on his arm. She quickly ate her breakfast and headed out the door. Not wanting to seem suspicious, she didn't go by car and instead planned to use public transport. She had also purposely worn a baggy vest, so she could hide the watch under her clothes in case Jason would be in the room and awake against her predictions. With these preparations she was ready to pick up the most expensive item she had ever bought using her own money. Making her feel giddy and anxious all at the same time.

Here we are with today's chapter. Tomorrow is Saturday, meaning we will have another double release. For now I hope you enjoy and that you will join me again for tomorrow's chapters!
