Spoiled

By keeping himself as much distracted with work, responding to Jenny's inquiries, as well as gathering information on her wellbeing through others, Jason got through the week. During this week, where he had briefly returned to his life before Jenny's arrival, with him returning home to an empty house, with no one other than the people being paid to be there, Jason had felt quite lonely. Being separated from everyone by just one night of sleep and a single flight of a few hours, his spirits had started to lift. Despite knowing the way he would have to spend the hours before that night of sleep, which was caused by his own procrastination.

With him disliking packing as much as he did, he had saved that activity for the evening before his departure, that had been set for early in the morning. So, that he could finally go to join Jenny and the others. And that moment had come now. With a sigh, he went upstairs after having his dinner and mentally prepared himself for the dreadful task. When, after much delay, born from his reluctance, he went to the closet to grab his suitcase he noticed that it was quite heavy. With a look of surprise on his face, he took the suitcase to their bedroom and unzipped it to see what was inside. When he did, he found a note addressed to him on top of a perfectly organized, readily packed, suitcase.

"Dear, sweet, Jason,

As I know you dislike packing your bags so much and you usually do a terrible job at it, I decided to do something kind for you as you have done so many kind things for me. So, I packed your bag together with mine before we left. I assume that you will leave this task till the very last moment, making my little surprise a most welcome one.

If not, then I hope this note and this act of mine will give you a happy surprise that will last you till we see each other again. All that is left for you to do, is to grab the toiletries, that I have put in a clear, resealable bag underneath the sink and you will be good to go.

I can't wait for you to return to my side. I imagine that I will be missing you greatly at this point, since the thought of leaving you behind is making me miss you at this very moment.

The note had indeed the desired effect on Jason. He was very pleasantly surprised and relieved that he didn't need to spend his evening packing. Plus, Jenny revealing it to him like this, instead of telling it to him flat-out, made the surprise even more enjoyable. The only downside from getting to such a high, is the fall down after you start to miss the other person even more by being reminded of their loving ways. In order to prevent that fall or at the very least postpone it till he was too tired to pay attention to it, he immediately called Jenny to let het know that at last he had found her surprise and to express his thanks.

When Jason had called, they had all started roasting marshmallows and whatnot above an firepit they had the hotel staff provide. Along with it, they had brought the group different cut up fruits, pieces of toast, and vegetables to dip in the chocolate fountain and cheese fondue. With a treat for everyone's taste and the warm atmosphere created by the fires that had been created in a row by the poolside, it was promising to be another great evening and night. Though she had taken just two bites of all that had caught her eye, when she saw who was calling Jenny excused herself for a moment. Knowing that the call would provide her with other kinds of pleasures. Ones that food could not provide. Especially food that would be there after she returned and which would probably taste even better after hearing from the person she had been missing.

Jason caught a glimpse of all that had been prepared for their evening when Jenny answered his and was pleased to see that Jenny was having a good time. After a simple "Hi.." said with warm loving eyes on both sides, and a short "How are you doing?" and "What are you doing?" from Jason's side. It was followed with equally short replies and simple answers from Jenny, eager to ask questions of her own. Questions like, "Aren't you going to bed? You must be tired after that week you have been having and you have an early flight tomorrow as well." After a chuckle at her concerned face, Jason told her what he had initially called her for. "Instead of that, shouldn't you be wondering how I can be sitting back at ease on the sofa, when I have a flight to catch in just a few short hours? I found your thoughtful surprise and wanted to let you know that your assumption was spot on and the surprise most certainly a welcome one." He added with a chuckle, "But you already knew that."

Jenny was pleased that her surprise had been well liked. "I thought when you called me at this hour on your own that you must have found it, but you weren't bringing it up at all. So, I was starting to wonder when you were actually planning on packing your things. Thinking that you might start on it in the morning, I tried to dig a little by asking you if you weren't going to bed. Only for you to finally bring it up yourself." Jenny explained with an excited laugh in her voice. "I am glad you liked it though. You almost caught me twice while I was preparing. Aside from that I was worried that you would be searching for something that I had already packed and find it missing. Causing the surprise to be spoiled early by that. But I am glad to find out that my prince is spoiled instead and has so many clothes that he doesn't notice that multiple of his shirts, pants, briefs and whatnot are missing!"
