Something to be expected

The week that followed the departure of the parents, was packed to the brim. Wanting to make the most of the remaining days of their trip they vowed to do as much as possible. There were but two that could not partake in all that the town had to offer but they too found ways to entertain themselves. Sometimes with each other as their sole companions and sometimes having their husbands by their sides as well. With Jason already having been apart from Jenny for a whole week of the trip, he didn't feel much for leaving her behind at the hotel. Choosing most of the time to miss out on the planned activities Jenny could not join, in order to not miss out on his time with her. Even if he had to share it with Elizabeth from time to time.

When both husbands were present, the couples would choose to do something romantic. Knowing very well that it would become harder and harder to do so as the pregnancy got further along and especially the first few months after the birth. Their activities were ranging from candle lit dinners, to peddling out on in a boat to admire the night view on a lake, and getting couple's massages. In their own way therefore they had created fully packed days. The only difference was that their days were a lot more relaxing and allowed for more rest than the days planned by the others.

Fully content with all that they had seen, done, eaten or otherwise experienced, the remaining people of the party had to prepare to leave the hotel as well. Trading it back in for the comfort of their homes back in England. Though they were certain they would miss this country and this hotel where they had stayed for the past two weeks with the greatest pleasure. All were complimenting Jason on the Westwood facilities in every way imaginable as they were making themselves over to the entrance, where the same kind of car that had picked their parents up a week before, was now waiting to take them to the airport. On the way over they kept the praises going as they were recalling what they had experienced there and telling Jason that they were sure to return in the future even if they would then be paying guests. As it was well worth the impressive prices they were charging for the level of VIP experience they had been enjoying. This opinion seemed one that was shared by many other people, as this hotel as well as many of their other hotels, were always packed. Be it high season or just a regular Tuesday.

To Jason however, who accepted their compliments, and those that he had read from other guests, with his regular expressionlessness, looked at matters differently. With the level of service they provided and the quality of the hotel and the rooms itself, he thought it no surprise that their friends had no complaints about their stay and that the hotel was as popular as it was. Instead he saw it as something to be expected. As a businessman he expected nothing less than perfection from anything that was affiliated with his name, much like he accepted anything less than perfection from himself. But he too was happy with what he had seen during this on site visit. Even after his correction for them most certainly receiving extra care and attention as owners and company of the owners, what remained was far above a passing grade!

Back at home, life continued as it did before. Though minor adjustments seemed to have been made over time. With time passing by slowly for Jenny as she was missing having her mother around, she started looking for comfort and distraction in spending more time with Jason and their friends. Even visiting the company more than usual to share lunch, dinner or after some time even just as a way to pass time. Something that neither the employees nor the employer minded.

Though her visits were a form of distraction from the work, it didn't harm their productivity as she made sure to help out whichever way she could. Having a good head on her shoulders, she was able to make herself useful in no time at all. Jason was just glad that she had found a way to keep herself busy and distracted. So, as long as she took the necessary breaks to give her body the rest it needed, he allowed her to do as she pleased. Simply glad that he was able to keep an eye on her from time to time like this, setting his mind at ease. This in turn helped keep productivity high as well as it allowed him to focus on his work instead of worrying about Jenny. So, all in all it was a good deal.

By the time her mother came back to England, Jenny had become a full fledged employee and looked for excuses to return to the office even with Mary in the house. But with her just a month away of giving birth, this was an idea voted against by her mother, her in-laws and the usually conceding husband. So, she had no choice, other than to accept it and spend her time finishing up the final details of the baby room. Every time she entered the room, she felt her excitement for the arrival of their son grow. With each piece of clothing she bought, she was able to envision more and more clearly how their baby would look wearing them. She was lost in these very thoughts, when she received a distressed call from Nick telling them that Elizabeth's water had broken and to make her way over to the hospital as she was getting ready to give birth!

Here we are with the two chapters for today and an exciting two chapters it is for our couples!
