Secrets

Right before they walked into the Golden Crown, Jenny pretended to trip again and grabbed hold of his neck with a drunken laughter. A laughter that was based on nothing, stemming from a sense of humour you could only understand if you were inebriated as well. Though Jenny had never had a drop of alcohol in her life, she had seen plenty of drunk people to know how they behaved. Making it easy for her to copy their behaviour even when she was as sober as one could be. After successfully removing the bug and making the uncle's interest in her lessen by her drunken behaviour, she was given her escape by Jason's well-timed call.

Just like a professional actress, Jenny's first reaction to the call was an expression of shock and instead of picking the call up, she asked the uncle what to do. Only when he told her to pick up, did she answer the call. As the uncle was thinking about how Jason was able to finish that work so quickly, Jenny pretended to feel a bit guilty as she talked to Jason on the phone. The reason for the uncle's surprise was because he had given Jason enough to keep him busy all night and had even had some mistakes put in there on purpose. That way he hoped to waste more of Jason's time and effort by having him calculate using the wrong numbers, potentially having him embarrass himself during the meeting. It should be impossible for Jason to finish the work in just three hours, even with the correct numbers, it should still have taken him six hours at least. But he didn't realize that Jason liked making the impossible, possible. Including his uncle's impeding defeat.

As if being sobered up from the shock from the call, Jenny's behaviour returned to normal as she said, "I'm sorry uncle. It seems your extra work wasn't enough to keep Jason from cutting our evening together short. Hopefully we will get a new chance in the near future. I of course didn't tell him that I was meeting up with you. Instead I told him that I was still at the mall shopping. So, he will pick me up there. If you could send me to the Westwood family shopping centre, I would be very grateful." A bit reluctantly the uncle did as she requested. Being fully upset that Jason had bested him and that he hadn't been able to have the fun evening he had planned with Jenny.

When they arrived at the mall, Jenny gave the uncle another half flirty smile and quickly got off. Having successfully survived the evening without having to go over any personal boundaries, Jenny was happy to return to Jason's side again. When she stepped in his car, that arrived just moments after his uncle's car had left, the first thing she did was to hug him and disinfected her heart and body from the presence of his uncle. Jason happily reciprocated her hug. "Please tell me you got something useful? I don't think I can do this again." Jenny asked while still holding on Jason tightly. Jason chuckled and patted Jenny's back and hair as he softly repeated the words, "Don't worry, you did great."

After a nice long hug, where Jenny could let go of all of today's events, they started driving back to Westwood mansion. On the way over Jason started telling Jenny about what he had overheard with the bug she had planted. Not only had he heard his uncle's secrets, he had also heard secrets of the people present and of the names of people that were involved in the mess. This had been a very successful operation and the information they had obtained helped further their plans. He had taken the first steps in luring his uncle's entire group in a trap but he had to wait till he could talk to his father before taking real action against them. The moment they arrived at Westwood mansion Jason called Stephen on speakerphone and told him about what they had heard and who his uncle had met up with. He played parts of the recordings they had obtained and after that they decided what to do.

Each from their own computer worked through the night to cause the most damage with what they had heard and the next day the damage was clear for everyone to see. The moment the stock market opened in the morning, the stocks of their private companies started dropping significantly and the tabloids had been filled with stories about their dirty dealings. If it wasn't a case of illegal trading, it was tax evasion or bribing of city officials. Even pictures of his uncle's parties with his girls on the side had been posted in the papers. Giving the people at that meeting plenty to deal with, Jason and Stephen moved on to attack those that had been unveiled during his uncle's talkative meeting. Though Jason and Stephen had gathered enough dirt on the majority of the people they wanted the get rid of, they needed to know the names of the other dirty people to make sure no one could escape and cause trouble later on. Now that those names had been kindly revealed, there was no need to hold back and they could give attack after attack till they could wave them all goodbye. The next one being planned for the meeting at Westwood International, the one where his uncle had planned to embarrass Jason, which would now be turned into his uncle's funeral.
