Sank to the ground

Jenny had entered the room with shoes filled with led. After a quick round of greetings and introductions, she did as she promised and sat in a corner by herself. She busied herself by studying the menu and ordered away as soon as the waiter came in. She interacted with no one and disconnected herself from the group. She did not want to be part of these people that were laughing at every stupid joke and the sleezy flirting. These boys were way too handsy for her to feel comfortable near them. One after another had wrapped their arm around one of the girls, was touching their hair, had a hand on one of their legs. Eww. She felt a shivers all over her body by the simple thought of any of those things happening to her. It wasn't like these guys were ugly or were physically disgusting, but their behavior was. They were players in every sense of the word. Arrogant. Cheap words. Getting way too close, way too soon. Though objectively speaking they were all handsome men, but the way they behaved like they knew they were handsome and rich to boot, made them become very unattractive to Jenny. The words she had spit towards Jason during their first meeting, were words these guys seemingly lived by. She had found a new appreciation for Jason and his friends for not being like this. Well, except for Nick maybe..

Jenny was lost in these thoughts when one of the "eligible bachelors" decided to try his luck with her. He was apparently blind for the vibes she was sending out or had taken a fancy to her despite it all. Though she had gotten a lot of unwanted attention at the start of this group date as well, most of the guys had backed down after seeing that she was ignoring them completely. She must have seemed bored for this poor chum to think it was his turn now. She glanced at her watch and saw almost half an hour of this "date" had passed by and figured there was a lot of time to kill, so she should have some fun with this to last her till the end of the date or till one of the other guys felt they had to save her from her boredom. The guys sat down and wasted no time before placing his arm on the backrest of the seat Jenny was sitting on. With an arrogant pose and air he said "Tell me gorgeous, why the long face. Isn't anyone to your liking?" Jenny quickly shot him down. She replied "No there isn't, including you unfortunately" and turned back to her food. However instead of scaring him off, he seemed to be even more interested. "Mi-auw. If you talk like that my feelings might get hurt. Lucky for you I like em feisty and I am intrigued. How about you and I go and find a more quiet place to hang out by ourselves, hmm?" He was about to move closer when the door to their room suddenly opened and a cold air swept across the room.

Jenny felt her stomach sink to the ground. She didn't have to look up to know who could cause something like that. The worst thing that could have happened, had happened. She was still staring to the floor as the footsteps got closer. It was as if those steps were the only sound in the room and all other sounds were muted. She could feel his sharp eyes on her and slowly she lifted her lowered eyes to meet his. Everything was happening in slow motion. She heard the guy sitting next to hear speak words of protest "Hey, what are you doing. This is a private event. Outsiders aren't allow-" before he could finish his words, Jason had grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and with a swift movement threw him across the room onto the floor. Now she was face to face with the man she loved, but was dreading to see right now. While facing his fierce eyes she let out a sheepish laugh and said "Jason what brings you here? he he he." Her eyes were filled with guilt and a sense of being caught. He did not respond and instead let out a forced exhale from his nostrils and showed her a cold smile as he flipped over the table in front of her with one hand. His movement scattered the food that was on there all over the floor, shattering all the glasses and plates. The words of protest and concern from the other people present made place for utter silence. No one dared to say another word as Jason left the room. Jenny stood there with a feeling of hopelessness, contemplating what to do. How was she to fix this?

Harry hadn't waited for all of this to go down and had long since grabbed Julia by the hand. The second he entered the room he had zeroed in on Julia and had dragged her out of the room. The moment he was met with resistance, he picked her up and threw her over his shoulder. He knew now was not the time to push their luck by fighting in front of Jason, but this little bunny with her new found braveness apparently didn't. When they were on their way to this place, Harry had been wise enough to call for his driver, so that they could leave the moment he had gotten what he came here for. He figured it was best to stay out of Jason's sight, otherwise he wouldn't be safe the moment his focus was no longer on finding Jenny. Even as a friend, he would surely be forced to face some consequences, despite them getting there in time before anything had happened. Nick and George were tasked with keeping the other guys from interfering. The moment both girls had been retrieved, they too went on to their own homes to leave the involved parties to talk it out among themselves. They were glad it ended without bloodshed. The only question left was how the couples were going to come out of this situation...

finally the moment is there. The collision of the chasers and the chasees! Enjoy and if I am able to finish it, another chapter will be published today :)
