Right hand man

Jason's grip on Jenny's shoulder tightened and his gaze focused on what was playing out in front of him as well. As he and Jenny started walking forward, Harry caught up with them. The moment he came in sight, the expression of the girl named Julia changed. Suddenly Jenny remembered why the girl had seemed so familiar. It was because of the stare she was feeling right now. It was the same feeling she had been getting for a while now and belonged to the mysterious person that seemed to be following them. Jenny's eyes followed in the direction the girl was looking at and discovered that Harry was her target. What was the connection between these two? Jenny looked at Jason for answers, but his eyes remained forward. This reaction from Jason sparked her curiosity even more. Harry got closer to the girl in question and with every step he took, Jenny noticed more and more things that mad her believe the matter wasn't a simple one. He had a serious expression on his face and was walking towards them with a slightly hostile air around him. With one hand in his pants pocket and unwavering eyes, he came over like a force to be reckoned with. Everyone remained silent and it felt like even the other people in the hallway had stopped moving and talking. The drop of a pin could even be heard at this moment.

The girl remained just as determined in her gaze, but her arms and legs seemed to tremble. One shouldn't be fooled by his calm demeanor. Harry was known as Jason's right hand man for a reason. His looks and cruelness were almost on par with Jason, but he usually hid this side of him a better than Jason did. Once he reached the classroom, Harry ignored the calming words spoken by his close friend George and simply used one look at the girl to hint at her to follow him. Without stopping he walked passed her and headed towards a more private space. He chose the chemistry classroom, which wouldn't be used during the upcoming period. He entered and left the door open behind him. She quickly followed him into the empty classroom and closed the door. Harry turned around the moment he heard the door close and said but one word, "Speak!". His word resonated through the entire classroom and sent shivers down her spine. She could feel the strength in her legs giving out and her determination falter. She dug her beautifully manicured nails into her legs to muster up her courage and tilted her head to look the man in front of her in the eyes. The eyes she met with were filled with coldness and anger. With a shaking voice she started speaking.

"Harry why can't we just get along? Why do you have to treat me in such a hostile way. All I want is to be by your side. If there is anything that you don't like about me, just tell me. I can change!"

Harry's expression turned to a mocking and condescending one as he replied "There is nothing you have to change. That which I don't want, is you as a person. Unless you can change everything about yourself, you should stop having those fantasies, because from head to toe there is nothing I like about you. Including that fake and meek personality of yours."

Every word he said struck her heart like knife and made her feel like she was losing her breath, but she wasn't ready to give up. With a pleading eyes on the verge of tears she asked "Can't we at least be friends?"

"Hmph, friends? You lost that privilege the moment you decided to go through with this ridiculous engagement and threw me under the buss. I have to marry you the moment I turn eighteen and I have accepted that fate, but nothing and no one can make me have anything to do with you until that day. So look forward to a loveless marriage and leave my sight until then, dear fiance." When he finished speaking these heart wrenching words, Harry headed for the door and left Julia behind. The moment she heard the door slam shut with force, feeling the vibrations through her body, Julia broke down. The words Harry had said played over and over in her mind and with each round more of her shaken heart broke. She fell to the floor and started crying hysterically, while holding her knees for comfort. Her wails could be heard outside the door, but Harry didn't slow down at all.

George, Jason and Jenny were still standing in the, by now completely empty, hallway facing the room Harry was in. When he came out they all waited anxiously to hear what had happened in there. By now Jason had informed her of who the girl was. Her name was Julia Bergdorff and she was the fiance of Harry. They had known each other for a long time, but had been nothing more than friends. The parents however had other plans in mind for them and had proposed an engagement. Unlike Harry, Julia was not against these plans. So when he asked her to persuade her father to cancel the engagement, she decided against it. This made Harry, who felt backed into a corner by his friend and his parents, resent her. Since that time almost a year had passed, but he still would not spare her a glance or a polite response. Harry however did not feel like talking about the matter any longer than necessary and walked right past them after giving Jason a nod to let him know he had taken care of it. Though Jenny wasn't ready to let the situation go, she was forced to pause her questions and concerns for class. So she unwillingly entered the classroom with Jason, while her eyes were still glued to the door that hadn't opened for a second time...

As promised another chapter is out today. It gives you a little background into Harry's past and present. I hope you enjoy and till next time (Which should be later tonight or tomorrow :D )
