Respect her wishes

Jason had been looking out of the window like usual these days, when he saw Jenny leaving school in a hurry. Looking at the time, he knew it couldn't be because of work and she couldn't have finished her class representative tasks either, so he wondered where she could be running off to. Though he wasn't proud to admit it, he had hacked into Jenny's phone when she left home and had a tracking software installed. He hadn't intended to use if for personal gain, but only when Jenny was in danger or the situation asked for it. However, right now he was fighting back the urge to open the app on his phone and use the software to find out where Jenny was headed. He felt like he was having an angel and devil on his shoulder, telling him to do it as she would never find out and at the same time saying to respect her privacy and not abuse his power unless it concerned her safety.

In the end the devil won and he glanced at the screen on his phone for a brief moment. Telling himself that he wouldn't look at the destination, just the direction she was headed at. It didn't take him long to notice where she must be headed and his expression turned cold. Making the temperature of the air around him drop instantly. She was headed home? Why would she go on the one day that she was done before him at the time that he wasn't there? Did she hate him that much? The cold frost coming from Jason had everyone in the class shaking. With a shaking voice the teacher tried to continue what was left of his class, while glancing at Jason every few minutes to see if he was doing anything that would upset him even more. In their minds, they were all happy that the weekend was just around the corner and they would be able to breathe freely for a few days, unaffected by Jason's mood.

During the rest of last period Jason's cold gaze remained focused on a single spot on the wall and his thoughts went all over the place. 'Even when I do good, and respect her wishes, I still get treated this coldly. What do I have to do to have her forgive me and stop this? How many blows does she want me to receive before she is satisfied?' With each minute that passed by, he slowly felt his mood going from sad to angry and frustrated. Angry at Jenny, angry at Garry and the others for not informing him and angry at the situation that had lasted much longer than he had anticipated and hoped.

In the meantime Jenny had arrived at Westwood mansion and she ran up the small steps before the entrance before walking into the familiar yet distant house. The moment she stepped inside she was greeted by Garry and the others. "Miss Jenny, I am so glad to see you are doing well. Where is young master Jason?" Jenny smiled at him and said with a smile that didn't reach her eyes, "I didn't come with Jason. I just came to grab some things before work, because I didn't want to inconvenience you again." Disappointed that Jenny's arrival didn't mean the end of their fight, Garry's smile dropped. "I see. Well, even though you could never inconvenience me, I am glad that it has made me be able to see you and to see that you are doing well."

Jenny nodded. She had grown to care a lot for Garry and some of the other staff at Westwood mansion, and not being able to see them or her in-laws on top of not seeing Jason made the situation she was in even more difficult. Slightly choked up she said, "Yes thank you. I am glad to get a chance to see you all again as well. I know we are in a difficult situation right now, but hopefully it won't take long anymore. Though I wished I could stay longer, for now I have to get packing, because I still have to go to work and don't have much time." Understanding that she probably didn't want to run into Jason, Garry nodded with a faint smile as Jenny excused herself and headed upstairs.

She quickly grabbed what she needed to grab and gently placed the neatly folded jacket he had put around her today on the bed. Feeling like she couldn't just leave it here without saying anything to Jason, especially when he had helped her when she was in a pinch she didn't even knew she was in. So, she she went into the other room and grabbed a notebook and a pen to write him a short thank you note. After she was done, she looked around the room once more and with a slightly saddened feeling headed back downstairs. She said goodbye to Garry and the others and was ready to leave when she came face to face with her father-in-law Stephen. Slightly startled, as she hadn't expected him to be at home in the middle of the day, she greeted him with a tone of surprise. "Father..? What brings you home during the day?" Stephen nodded in response and said, "I came home late last night. So, I decided to work from home today. What brings you back, did you and Jason make up?" Jenny shook her head. "Don't you think it has been long enough? It is about time for you to come back home." Stephen said with a calm, but strict-looking expression. Being faced with this question and demand, Jenny felt her heart start pounding rapidly. Facing Jason was one thing, but facing her in-laws was something entirely different!

Here is today's first chapter and as I am very busy tomorrow, tomorrow's chapters will be released today as well! I hope you enjoy and I wish you all a good night.
