Pulling her in

When Jenny turned around after setting everything up for the movie, she was greeted by Jason filling the entire couch and patting on his legs as place for her to sit. What was this man thinking. "Hey Mr. Funny guy, what is the meaning of this. Where am I supposed to sit? I know I don't take up much space, but this is pushing it. Or did you want me to sit on the single chair over there?" Jenny said as she crossed her arms and used her chin to gesture to the lounge chair that was right from the TV.

"No such thing. How can you see the movie all the way from there? Your neck will hurt from the bending for such a long time. You can sit on the couch with me. I see plenty of space, as long as we are willing to sit a bit closer to one another. Haven't we reached that point after spending all that time getting to know each other emotionally. I promise I won't do anything inappropriate. I just want to watch a movie with you and take advantage of your excessive body heat. You always say your mother uses you as a personal body heater, why can't I do the same? If you still don't feel anything for me, this shouldn't bother you right? You can pretend it is your mom or one of your friends holding you and I can use your body heat to warm up. Or are you scared you might fall for my charms if you get too close" Jason said daringly. He knew if he used her pride and her urge of wanting to prove herself, he should create a bit of doubt. And sure enough, Jenny was starting to doubt herself.

If he didn't do anything, what was the harm then. But it would be so embarrassing. She couldn't really go sit in his lap. Was she a five year old girl. Maybe she could sit by his feat and lift his feat onto her lap. That way he would still get some body heat, but she wouldn't be in such a weird position. While Jenny was contemplating what to do, Jason took his chance at pulling her in. Before she had time to act or think, Jason grabbed hold of her arm and gave a quick pull. This made Jenny lose her balance and she fell on top of Jason, who instantly threw his arms around her. Stuck in a strong embrace, face to face with this handsome man, Jenny did not know what to do or where to look. All she knew was that she had to get away, so she started pulling away, but it was to no avail. Jason's grip was strong and he wasn't willing to budge. "How about this, if you don't want to sit on my legs, you can also lie down on my chest. Just like this. Not sure how you will be able to watch the movie, but I am happy to skip it and spend the night looking at you."

Jenny's face grew bright red and she started sputtering protesting words. "N-n-no, no thanks. I didn't hear you right the first time. Your lap sounds great. ha-ha.." Jenny said frantically, while still trying to loosen Jason's grip on her. "Great, now that we have settled on this, we should get comfortable and start the movie. Any longer in this position and who knows what I would do" Jason said with a wink and a teasing eyebrow lift. He loosened his grip and Jenny shot away at the speed of light. She turned around to straighten her hair and calm her heart. That was a very close call. This guy sure knew how to get to her. She briskly turned back around to face her tormentor. She pretended like nothing had happened and looked at Jason arrogantly before attempting to take her place on the couch. She decided on a halfway point, where she was sitting on the couch, but her legs were draped over Jason's legs. Jason had settled on putting his arm on her waist instead of holding her in a complete embrace. This was great progress, he didn't want to push his luck and make her too uncomfortable around him. He still wanted her to be able to enjoy the movie. Besides it was clear that she was no longer unaffected by him. She clearly had started feeling something. It may not be love yet, but he was sure he was no longer "just a possible friend". This was a battle that would be won by those who are patient, not by hasty moves.
