Precise and lethal

Jenny, Nick and an unwilling Elizabeth were soon joined by Jason, who had finished saying his goodbyes. When he approached them and asked Jenny if she was ready to go, she was interrupted by Elizabeth, who thought Jason would be her savior. "J-Jason. Thank heavens you are here. Help me get away from this horrible excuse for a man." Jason turned to her with cold and distant eyes, they were almost menacing. Elizabeth was shocked and her entire body froze over. She stopped struggling and her face had become as white as a sheet of paper. If Jason's look wasn't enough, his cold and harsh words certainly were. He spit them out like venom "Who allowed you to call me by my name!? A person like you is even unworthy to call me by my last name." He turned his eyes away from her the moment these words had left his mouth and turned to Nick instead. "Nick, drag 'this' away from me before 'it' ruins my evening. I am already in a bad mood from those obnoxious people, I don't have the patience for someone who doesn't know their place." Each word felt like a stab to the heart. Each knife precise and lethal. Not leaving a shred of Elizabeth's dignity and pride intact.

Though Jason hadn't heard Elizabeth's words from before, judging by the atmosphere he could tell it wasn't anything good. He had learned to read Jenny's micro expressions and he could tell she was upset. Seeing that Elizabeth hadn't learned anything from her being banned from their group nor his previous harsh words, he felt no pity at all for saying the words he said just now. If it weren't for their previous friendship, his tolerance would have been much less and his punishment much harsher. She had gotten off quite well with just a change in classes, but it seemed she didn't realize how lucky she was and didn't appreciate his kindness. If he had wanted, he could have had her expelled or rejected from all elite schools. He could have even caused serious trouble for her family's business. With just a word from him, they would be crawling to his feet and begging him to show some mercy. The only one worthy of his love and protection was Jenny and anyone who dared to harm or hurt her in any way, would have to pay the price. This would be the last time Jason would take their friendship into consideration.

Though Jason wasn't active in the family business yet, he had started his own company when he entered junior high. The requirement for inheriting the family business was that you had to make it on your own first. Much like the throne to a country, without adding a company worth at least 1 million to the Westwood empire, the inheriting rights would be passed on to the next in line. Different branches of the empire had been divided among the other members of the family, who had to abide by the same rules. That way the growth and strength of the empire was ensured. It was because of this that most of the students and future students of Mountforth high and many of the other elite schools would be future business associates or employees of the Westwood family. Though in Jason's case, his company was worth well over 1 million, more like 50 times that amount. So he was a strong competitor even without the backing of his family and would be able to give the DuPoint family a tough time if he wanted to.

No one knew that Jason was the owner of that company, not his friends, not his family, not even his parents and of course neither did Jenny. It had to be kept a secret because otherwise other companies might try to help him or do business with him for future benefits. So in line with the requirements of the family the name and the field of business of the company had to remain a secret until the age of succession had been reached. This had made Jason financially independent from the age of twelve and a fierce competitor in the business world from the age of fifteen. He wouldn't mind using this fierceness to eliminate one of his competitors and revenge Jenny at the same time.

Without another glance Jason grabbed Jenny's hand and walked off to the car parked in front of the door. Leaving Elizabeth behind in the arms of her new found nemesis Nick. Jenny glanced back with a sense of pity before turning back to the front to watch her steps. They entered the car when Jenny decided to change the atmosphere by changing their focus to a more pleasant topic. "So Mr. Big shot, where are we going dress shopping at this time of night?" Jason smirked as he let go of some of the tension in his hand and looked over in her direction with mysterious eyes "That my dear, is something for me to know and you to find out". Jenny chuckled and allowed Jason to surprise her. It didn't take long before the car came to a halt. She looked out of the window to see if she recognized anything, but all she saw blackness and streetlights except for a small boutique that seemed to have the lights on. She silently followed Jason as he opened her side of the door and helped her step out of the car. They walked up to the boutique and without having to knock, the door was opened by a stylish woman who was waiting for them by the door.

She nodded as she greeted them "Mr. Westwood. Miss. Come in." Jenny entered the mysterious boutique and after she locked the door, the woman by the door followed behind them. As if he had been here a thousand times before, he walked through the door in the back of the room, which led them to an enormous gallery. It was filled with multiple workstations and what seemed like hundreds of beautiful dresses. Each one more beautiful than the other. Jason pulled her in through the door and said "Pick whichever one you like". "I can pick anyone of these dresses? Will they even fit?". Jason didn't answer and simply nodded his head in the direction of the dresses to indicate she should go take a look. Jenny walked over to the first row of dresses and let her hands glide over the different fabrics. Her eyes were glistering from excitement. One after another, the dresses were pulled from the rack, held before her in front of the life size mirror and after spinning them around were either put back or placed on the sofa in the room for a proper fitting. After finding a few dresses that she really liked, she went behind a changing curtain in the back corner and put them on one by one. However there was only one that she came out to show. Jason looked her up and down and said just one word "Perfect!".

Pooh! I don't know how, but I managed to get stuck again. I wasn't planning on going into Jason's work, but somehow it seemed odd to not go into it after doing the "mercy" talk. To make it hold up, it need a bit of background. So I was going back and forth between not going into it and scratching the "mercy" part or trying to work it into this chapter.

I hope you liked it and I will publish again tomorrow.

I want to thank Chimmypunu, Askgive and Iris for their support of the previous two chapters. I am glad you liked it!
