Plus one

As Jenny scrolled through the list, she was pleasantly surprised. She had done a lot better than she had expected. She had managed to place in the top 20 of the school and top 10 of her class. Something that was quite an accomplishment for her first exam week here. She jumped up and down cheering from joy. She was glad all her studying hadn't been in vain. The only thing that could have made this better was if she had beaten Jason to make him lose that smug look off his face. After cheering for her own success, she continued scrolling through the list to see how their friends had done. As she went over the names that were in the top 20 as well, she saw that George and Harry had done quite well themselves and even Julia had put down quite a score. All four of them were in the top of the school, proving they aren't just a pretty face, but also had a good head on their shoulders. As Jenny was listing their positions in the school ranking, Jason got up from the bed and hugged Jenny from behind, rocking her from side to side with his body and placing his head on her shoulder. "Let go, you meanie. I need to continue packing. After this, we have to start packing your stuff as well." "No. Even if you are not proud of me, I am proud of you and I want to express that by hugging you. Can't I even do that?" Pff, what was she supposed to do with this man. Jenny thought as she was laughing at Jason's silly behavior. "Fine, but at least let go of my arms. I need to fold my clothes." "That I can do", Jason let his arms slide down over Jenny's body until he landed at her waist. There he tightened his grip once more and continued being stuck to Jenny like glue.

With Jason's arms wrapped around her, Jenny continued folding and packing. In her head she went over the items listed in her mind. She was almost done packing, but she noticed the one thing missing was a bathing suit. When she moved here, there was no weather for swimming and despite the Westwood mansion having an indoor swimming pool in the basement, she had never had the chance to take a swim in there. That is how she hadn't noticed the lack of that item until now. "Jace, do you remember if you had picked swimwear for me as well back when you bought these clothes for me?" Jenny turned her head to try and look Jason in his eyes while still being trapped in his bear hug. Jason however turned away with a guilty expression and decided to look at the ceiling instead. Jenny used her free hand to grab him by the chin and pull his head back down. "Well? Yes or no? I need it for our trip." "Well...I tried, but I was torn between picking something that would suit your body or something that would hide what you have. In the end I wasn't able to buy anything other than the school swimsuit, he he he" Jason said a bit awkwardly. Jenny let out a sigh and shook her head. "Well then you are on your own for packing your bag. I will call Sophia and Julia and ask them to go swimsuit shopping with me." Jenny broke free from his embrace and grabbed a thin coat and a purse after throwing the beach towel she had yet to pack at Jason. She shot him a final judging look before heading out.

As she was to exit through the door, Susan and Stephan, who had just returned from their trip tried to enter. Before they had the chance to ring the doorbell or use their key to open the door, Jenny had already opened the door and both were surprised to find the other in the door opening. "Mother, Father, welcome back!" She welcomed them both with a hug. "I am afraid I have to wait till I can ask you about your trip, because I have to hurry and buy a swimsuit for our trip tomorrow. Apparently Jason wanted to confine me to the beach house covered from head to toe!" Jenny said a bit spiteful before hurrying out the door. Susan and Stephen were at first surprised, but once they understood what Jason had done or better yet had refused to do, they couldn't help but laugh at their son's possessiveness and jealousness. They closed the door and called for Jason so they could see how their son was doing before heading to the East wing to unpack. They had a short chat before they let Jason continue packing and agreed they would continue their talks over dinner.

As Jason was standing in front of his closet, not knowing where to start, he got a welcome distraction in the form of his cellphone. He had counted on Jenny helping him pack and she was the organized one out of the two of them, so now that he was left to do this on his own, he might as well drag this out till she returned. That way he could still try to convince her to help him. As he grabbed his phone he saw that it was a message from Nick. "Hey Jason, that trip of tomorrow, is it just us or can I bring a plus one?" Jason was surprised Nick would ask him this question. He was always one to refrain from letting anything get serious. He would rather find a date at an event than take one with him. He figured this vacation would be the same, to prevent some poor lass from thinking she was anything more than a fling. However the villa was large enough and all the other people coming along were couples, so there was no harm in letting him bring someone along as well. They would each get their own rooms anyways. "Sure, but who managed to convince you to bring them along on a week away? You do realize she will be sleeping in your room for the full duration of our stay?" "Great! I will let the rest remain a surprise for now and don't worry. I am more worried about us being unwilling to leave the room instead of her staying there. If you get what I mean" Jason chuckled at his words before throwing his phone on his bed and opening his closet to find some inspiration for his own suitcase. It should at least seem like he had tried to pack, before he would end up being the one without a plus one there.
