Perfectly hidden

As Jason went on his wild goose chase, Jenny looked for a place to hide while keeping Jason on the other end of the line through it all. By the time she had found a hiding spot, Jason had reached the postal corner and was forced to discover that he would be returning to his office empty handed. "Jenny, are you sure your package has arrived and that you sent it to the right address? Because the guy at the postal corner says that nothing has arrived for me today." Jenny faked her shock as well as she could after Jason revealed this piece of information, which to her wasn't a revelation at all. Responding as if it was something impossible instead of something she already knew as she had not sent anything.

"How could that be? The track and trace link clearly says that the package has been delivered. If not at your postal corner, then where? Maybe he is standing in front of the building. Could you go look out of the window? I can't believe they would fool me like that. So, there must be some kind of mistake." While faking being upset about the situation and her distress about a non-existent missing package, she had Jason return to his office while she herself had taken cover behind the coat rack. Feeling perfectly hidden by the coats, she watched as Jason walked to the large window at the back of his office. As he made his way over to do as he was asked, despite not being able to see the main entrance from his office windows, he was speaking words of comfort. Telling her that she shouldn't worry and that he was sure the package would turn up. Saying that even if it didn't, that it was the thought that counts. That the gesture was enough for him.

While he was talking, Jenny slowly snuck up behind him on her tiptoes. But what she didn't know was that she had been spotted by Jason from the first step she had taken. Not being aware that her reflection could be clearly seen in the window that he was standing in front, she was inching forward. Believing whole heartedly that she was successful in her ruse, just like a small child who was claiming to not have eaten the cookies while the crumbs were all over their face and thinking they were convincing as they themselves couldn't see the evidence. Jenny was using all her stealth powers to make her way over to Jason only for herself to be the one who is startled by him suddenly turning around and grabbing her by her waist. With a look of mixed feelings of being startled, confused and disappointed, she asked him "But how?". While Jason was holding her, who had lost her balance from the shock of his sudden action, he pointed at the window. "Your reflection silly.

Jenny's expression changed into one of full disappointment. Though this time her disappointment was turned towards herself and she let out a sigh as she felt frustrated by her own stupidity of the moment. How could she forget that windows reflect?! She had put so much effort in this reveal, only to have it spoiled by the laws of nature. With a pout and a frown Jenny listed her emotions and complaints. "I can't believe I accounted for so many things only to mess up at the final step. I am feeling so vexed. Couldn't you at least pretend to not see me? You could have played along and given me this small victory. To think I came here to give you a surprise and you can't even allow me a little bit of fun with my reveal."

Jason chuckled as he let the scowling kitty in his arms continue to vent as he gave some fake apologies. "Yes, yes. I am very sorry for my grave mistakes. It is all my fault. I cannot believe I could be so foolish as to not notice your well meant intentions. You were indeed very ninja like in your approach. It must have been sheer luck on my side to notice you at all." Jenny noticing what he was doing, turned her averted gaze towards him with her metaphoric guns blazing. Glaring at him as she said, "Don't think I don't notice your sarcastic tone. Treating me like some damn kid." Though Jason wasn't trying to be subtle about it at all, he wanted Jenny to have the victory of catching him at something at least.

So, with a chuckle and a big smile he made his way back to his wife's good graces by placing as many kisses on as many places of her face while she tried her best to avoid them. However, being trapped in his arms, there wasn't much she could do other than turn her face away. This of course only exposed a different part of her face and wasn't something that could hide her face completely nor did it have the power to make her face out of reach for a guy so much taller than herself. After a few futile attempts, she could no longer hide the laugh that had been welling up inside her since his exaggerated apologies. Once Jason heard her laughing, he stopped his bird like pecking and waited for her eyes to meet his once again, before he gave her a real kiss which she of course accepted without struggle or restraint.
