No way back

George was still a bit hesitant, but this was truly the only solution he could think of. This fight should end with the person over whom the fight started in the first place, which is Jenny. If Jenny forgave her, than Jason surely would too. If not right away then at least after Jenny put in a good word. He only cared about her feelings at the moment, so if she asked him to forgive Elizabeth, he would have no problem doing that. If she said she wanted Elizabeth to hang out with them, he wouldn't reject her. So, whichever way he thought about it, their best shot was going through Jenny. But would Elizabeth be able to put her pride aside and beg the woman she despised and who took "her spot" for forgiveness? Would she be able to lower herself in front of Jenny like that? To ask her for help? Soon his internal battle was interrupted by Elizabeth. "Why are you being quiet George? I can tell you are thinking about something. Tell me. Have you figured out a way for Jason to forgive me?" Staring deeply into her tear filled eyes, he decided to tell her. If she was willing to take this lifeline than maybe there was hope for change in her yet. This obsessive behavior she had been showing these past couple of years was unhealthy. It would harm her and might endanger someone else. So maybe it was for the best it ended now and in the way that it did. At least it forced her to open her eyes and look at reality instead of the dreamworld she had built in her mind.

"Lizzy..honestly you have gotten yourself in a big mess. You should have stopped when we warned you. I don't think I am able to help you. The only person who can help you now, the only person who he will listen to right now, is Jenny herself. Get her to forgive you and I promise Jason will follow soon after. Until she forgives you, Jason won't even look in your direction." "What..? I have to beg that shrimp? Never! You must be lying. There must be another way. Tell me there is another way." George shook his head. "I'm sorry Lizzy. I know this is hard for you to hear and even harder for you to actually do, but you have burned all your bridges. There is already no way back anymore, so all you can do now is move forward." Elizabeth became even more dejected and slumped down. She pulled her knee's to her chest and wrapped her arms around them to give herself comfort. George lowered his body as well and sat down next to her. "George, I don't know if I can do this. How shameful it will be for me to ask for forgiveness of her. How will I ever be able to face the other students of our class again? Plus, will she even forgive me? If after I do lower myself, she doesn't accept my apology, then I will have really lost everything." "Don't worry about that. Jenny isn't that kind of girl. You picked a fight with her first so she fought back, but trust me, she is a kind girl. I am sure if you sincerely apologize and you acknowledge your mistakes, she won't hold these things against you anymore. If however you are only willing to apologize because you think it will bring Jason back, than I am afraid you will simply anger her as well. So take a few days off school and really think about what you have done and what you want to do. She is your last option, don't waste it." After saying this George too got up and went after Jason and the others, leaving Elizabeth all by herself again.

Jenny was happy Jason finally saw the true colors of Elizabeth and that he served justice, but she couldn't help but feel that what he had done was quite harsh. Sure you shouldn't show weakness to those who look down on you, but she didn't imagine he would take it this far. She actually started feeling bad when she saw Elizabeth standing helplessly in front of the classroom door during class. Jenny left the classroom last and saw how Elizabeth grabbed hold of George and was pleading him for help. Now that she had exited the classroom, she saw how broken Elizabeth was. Jason had managed to make her look like she had aged 10 years in the thirty minutes that had passed. Her make up had run from all the crying, her hair had become disheveled and she was as pale as a ghost. Her voice was conveying her desperation. Seeing Elizabeth in this state did not bring Jenny any joy, but she knew it was a lesson that Elizabeth had to learn. Her behavior before was unacceptable. How far would she have gone if Jason hadn't witnessed what he did. Elizabeth never even considered showing mercy to Jenny, so she shouldn't show any either until it was clear that she had acknowledged her mistakes and was willing to turn over a new leaf. Still seeing what had become of Elizabeth, made a cold shiver run down Jenny's spine. This was what Jason was able to do in such a short period of time. What a fearful man.

This was the first time she had caught a glimpse of this side of Jason. The side he never showed her. These past few days she was reminded more and more that there were a lot of sides to Jason that she did not know yet. She had seen his arrogant side, she had seen his sweet side, his romantic side and this week she had seen his aggressive side, his protective side and now his cruel side. She had heard rumors here and there and she had seen the fear in the eyes of the people in school, students and teachers alike, but she never thought he would be this "skilled". How was he getting away with all of this? Why was everyone bending to his will without as much as a sputter?

Finally it is Tuesday and my exam is over!? As promised it is time to write again. I have done some pre-work during my study avoiding moments, so I will publish multiple chapters. Enjoy!

Jenny is starting to get curious about the power Jason hold within the school and soon it will be revealed to her where the power stems from. How do you think she will respond towards this secret. Plus do you think Elizabeth will cave? And will George be right and will Jenny indeed forgive her as long as she is sincere?

This will be revealed in the chapters to come!
