No apparent hurry

The moment Jenny's words reached and were registered by Jason, who was not expecting those words at all after looking at a list of ways to trigger what had just happened spontaneously, he shot up from his seat, fully ready to set their delivery plan in motion. "Y-Your water broke...? Well I guess there is no need for any of these tips. Let's get going. I'll grab your bag, you go and get the driver ready to take us to the hospital. I'll sit in the backseat with you and help with the breathing exercises." But before he could get fully carried away, Jenny grabbed his arm and told him that there was no need yet for panic. "I said that my water broke, not that I am going into labour. I haven't had any contractions yet. So, we still have plenty of time. If we go to the hospital now, we will only be sent back home." Hearing Jenny's determined voice and seeing her equally determined eyes, Jason stopped what he was doing. Now that he had stopped rushing about, the things he had learned about pregnancy and labour came rushing through his mind, making him realize that Jenny was right. As long as there were no contractions, there was no need to go to the hospital.

Since Jenny hadn't had any contractions yet, her water breaking was another point in which Jenny and Jason were breaking the odds with their pregnancy. Jenny knew that she had to go into labour soon now, if she did not want to have a medical inducement. At least with this, the start signal had been given and now all she could do was wait and hope that she wouldn't be breaking the odds with the remaining parts of her pregnancy. As from this point on that didn't mean anything good for any of the involved parties, including their unborn son, who seemed to have inherited both of their stubbornness. Demonstrating so with his reluctance to leave his mother's womb, even when her body was telling him it was time to move out. If everything from now on was going according to plan, she should be having contractions in the next 12 to 24 hours. Signalling that she had finally gone into labour. Until then both Jenny and Jason, and their concerned loved ones, had to remain patient.

Though the moment her water broke was a startling moment for Jenny, it also brought her relief. Now that she had some clean clothes on and was back in Jason's arms, she could feel herself become fully calm. Not only did her water breaking mean she was probably about to go into labour any moment, it also gave them a moment of calm in an otherwise hectic event to call everyone to get ready. Her friends and family could be flown in without any rushing, they could double check if everything was there for the actual pull out to the hospital and for the stay afterwards as well as for their return back home.

With their son in no apparent hurry to come out, Jenny's contractions were still no where in sight by the time they were to have dinner. Since everyone was going to the same 'event' and her friends and brothers had arrived for the occasion as well, the remaining friends from England had been invited to gather at the Westwood mansion. They would all have dinner together and if the waiting would continue, they were even all welcome to spend the night. Until then, they could have some fun and distract both Jason and Jenny from the waiting. With it being a Saturday, they had no important obligations that demanded them to be in bed on time and they would have Sunday to allow them to rest up. None of them had any other engagements for this weekend, which was a small miracle in itself with people like them.

Just like Prism mansion, Westwood mansion had plenty of guestrooms, with the Northern wing containing nothing but the most beautifully decorated guestrooms. All designed personally by Susan herself. So, housing this number of guests would be no problem at all. Though it was the first time that so many of the guestrooms would actually be used, they were there to be used. This potential sleepover had everyone excited, including Jenny herself. As for her it meant visiting a part of the Mansion that she had never been to before, even after living here for so many years. Making her just as exited to see what was hidden in there, along with the guest who would actually get to stay there.

Although there was much to look forward to today, aside from the impending birth giving, for now their focus was on having dinner, which was quite a sight to see as well. As Susan had the chefs prepare a meal that rivalled any other celebratory dinner. Jenny looked at the table that had been filled to the brim with all kinds of delicious food and she was just hoping that this premature celebration wouldn't be jinxing her into going into labour even later. After having their fill of this grand dinner, the guests moved over to the living room to start their evening of fun. With chatting and joking around the evening passed by in no time. With Jenny still heavily pregnant and not sleeping as well these days due to her discomforts, she turned in for bed early. Leaving their guests to entertain themselves if they wished to remain awake, which they certainly did considering the time and the cheerful atmosphere that was hanging around the living room.
