Never for nothing

After reading the note Jason dryly commented, "Well, I guess we woke up on time for nothing." Jenny's surprised expression turned into an amused one when she heard Jason's words and she chuckled as she replied, "Yeah, I guess so." She then continued in the same voice as Jason, "We also insisted on not joining the early group yesterday for nothing." But this was clearly not the same kind of comparison as Jenny was suddenly lifted from the floor single-handedly by Jason. He spun her around to face him and as she was pressed against him he told her with a serious expression, "A day alone with you is never for nothing." Jenny chuckled once more as she had unintentionally provoked her prince. She said, "Well, then we had best make the most of this one as well." before she stood on her tiptoes and pulled Jason down by his collar to give him a kiss.

They enjoyed a nice private breakfast and lunch, like they had done long ago, when they weren't even engaged. After that they went on a nice walk in the back garden as they both liked to feel the cold, refreshing air against their faces. When they returned they decided to take a shower to warm up and change into clean clothes as they were caught by an unexpected rainfall. While Jason would jump in the shower downstairs as his jeans had not only gotten wet but also muddy from the splattering rain, not wanting to dirty everything on his way to the second floor, Jenny would use the shower in their room. She had worn long boots, keeping her clothes clean, and could make her way over just fine.

After Jason had taken off his wet clothes and handed them over to Jenny, standing in the doorway with nothing more than his underwear on and goose bumps to cover his skin, Jenny said, "You go and jump under the shower. I will go get you a change of clothes from upstairs before I take a shower myself." Jason nodded in agreement, before entering one of the guestrooms to take a shower, leaving Jenny to take his wet, dirtied, clothes upstairs. While Jason let the hot water warm up his body, Jenny used two flights of stairs to do the same. She quickly took off her own clothes as well and put them in the washer along with Jason's clothes. Though she could leave this up to one of the maids, they wouldn't return until the next day upon Susan and Stephen's request and she didn't want the clothes to start smelling from being wet. After wrapping her robe around herself to keep herself warm, she grabbed Jason a set of clothes before running back down the stairs. After an unnecessary knock on the door, she walked into the bathroom and placed the clothes down. "Your clothes are on the towel rack. I am going to run back to our shower before I catch a cold."

Flirtingly Jason said, "It's not too late for you to join me in mine." But Jenny rejected his invitation by saying, "No thanks. Not much showering will get done if I do that. I would rather have you hurry up and make us something to eat while I shower. I am famished." Jason chuckled before he responded, "Hè shucks, I got found out so quickly. But your wish is my command." Jenny let out a laugh as well before leaving Jason behind and heading back upstairs. After stepping on the stairs for the third time in a period of less than ten minutes, she was laughing internally as she said, "Well I won't be needing a shower to warm me up. These stairs were more than enough."

Twenty-five minutes passed since Jenny and Jason's conversation and Jason had finished preparing them a simple meal while Jenny was still upstairs, just finishing with her shower. Jason went upstairs to see what was keeping her and to let her know that dinner was finished. But when he entered their room, he heard music and singing coming from their bathroom. Curious to see what Jenny was up to, he carefully opened the bathroom door on this side of the room. On his toes he entered the bathroom and saw Jenny singing at the top of her lungs. Wearing nothing but a towel and using a hairbrush as a microphone, Jenny was singing along with the song coming from her phone and performing a matching dance, like she was giving a concert. Jason quietly watched her act for a few seconds, as he leaned against the bathroom wall with crossed arms and legs, until one of her dance moves made her turn around and stand face to face with her amused husband.

Jenny was so startled by his sudden appearance that she dropped the towel that had been tightly wrapped around her. Flashing Jason, who did not complain at all, in the process. She quickly dropped down and lifted the towel back up and held the damp fabric in front of her body, hoping to cover what was already seen and had been seen plenty of times before. Something Jason reminded her of as well when he said, "What's the point of hiding now? I have seen all that there is to see plenty of times already dear. You have even held the fruit of our labour. It's a bit late to be getting shy at this point don't you think?"
