My turn to chase

Jason could not believe his eyes. He had returned because he thought that it would be a good idea to have lunch with everyone before going to the roof, but he didn't expect to run into a scene like this. Rubbing his eyes from disbelief. Was that Jenny he was seeing? How could she be here? Was he so desperate to get her back that he was having illusions of her now? But this didn't seem like an illusion. The others were clearly talking to her. Was Jenny the one who they had been talking about when he arrived at school? Was that what they were trying to hide? That Jenny had returned? Jason's head was filled with an ear-deafening silence as questions rapidly crossed his mind. Still not fully believing what he was saying he carefully called out to her in his state of shock. Hoping that it was her, while at the same time hoping it wasn't. Feeling the urge to run over to her and hold her in his arms, while fighting the urge to run away as he wasn't ready to face this situation yet. It had been too sudden.

"Jenny...?"

All faces turned to Jason who was standing frozen to the ground a few meters away from them, including Jenny. Who immediately jumped off the bench where she had been sitting. "J-Jason..." She took a few steps in his direction and looked at Jason a bit nervously and said, "H-hi Jason. L-long time no see." Before scratching the side of her head and mumbling, "No. That isn't what I am supposed to say. I'm sorry. Can we talk somewhere?"

But before Jason could even fully comprehend what was going on, his lips that had just turned into a smile instinctively, had turned back down and started moving on their own. Saying, "You lost your chance to talk when you left me." After that he dropped the lunch he had just bought and made an abrupt turn as he stormed off.

Nick who was following close behind Jason and didn't know what was going on, saw Jason storming in his direction and his lunch on the ground not too far away from them. Not noticing the atmosphere around him, he jokingly said, "Where are you going looking like that? Did you see a ghost? Dropping your lunch like a true Mr. Butterhands. I didn't think you were clumsy like that. But no worries, I will share my lunch with you. So, let's go and take a seat instead of standing here like a statue." But Jason didn't respond and passed by him in a trance. Not understanding what was going on he looked back in the direction where Jason had been standing moments before, trying to figure out what could have happened, when he saw Jenny. Despite having been informed that Jenny would be returning, he didn't expect that it would be so soon and so sudden. He immediately looked behind him at Jason that had almost reached the school. As he was wondering if he should follow him, he heard the sounds coming from the other direction.

Jenny had tried to run after Jason, but her legs had been shaking from nervousness and she fell on the floor after just a few steps. She yelled after him. Saying, "Jason wait. Please don't walk away. Give me a chance to explain." But Jason had no intention of waiting and Jenny's pleading grew more desperate as she started crying. This was when they others, who had been watching up to that point, rushed to Jenny's side. Saying all kinds of words to comfort her such as, "Don't worry Jenny. I am sure he will turn around. He is probably just shocked right now." But Jenny stopped them almost immediately after they had started. Shaking their hands off and saying, "No, I don't deserve to be comforted. Jason has every right to be angry. Jason has always been the one to chase me, now it is my turn to chase him."

After she said that she wiped away her tears and got up. She wiped the dirt off her clothes, before she started to run once more in Jason's direction. Passing by the still bewildered Nick. Though she had been concerned at first that she wouldn't know how to find him, it appeared that Jason was taking down everyone that stood in his path. Allowing Jenny to find him by following the shrieks of fear and sounds of torment from his trail of victims. Though the first few had managed to get away with little damage, having simply endured a push or him smacking something out of his way, the person that had been caught now appeared as if he wouldn't be so lucky. He had walked into Jason and had even yelled out a "Hey! Watch it!" without looking who was standing in front of him. By the time he did, it had already been too late for the Jason who was lost in a fit of rage.

Jason had just thrown him to the ground and had landed a few punches to his sides under the screams of the people surrounding them. Jenny ran over to the crowd, following the sound. He was about to land his fist in the boy's face when Jenny had made her way through the group of people surrounding them and she calls out to him. "Jason!" This one word was enough to make him freeze in his actions. Jason clenched his fist even tighter as he was deciding his next move. She ran over and grabbed the closed hand that was still raised in the air and repeated her words. "Jason, stop it right now!" Jason turned towards her with a glaring eyes before pulling his hand away and walking off once more. Leaving Jenny behind with the shocked crowd and the wounded student. After she had made sure that he was okay and taken care of, she went to the one place she thought he would go to, the roof.

And here is chapter number two. If all goes well, today will have even more chapters coming out. I hope you look forward to it :D
