Long overdue

After both had exhausted all the energy they had and they been satisfied in one aspect of their primal needs, another one re-emerged. One after the other their stomachs growled to show their dissatisfaction for being kept empty during their 'exercise'. Now that there were no more distractions, they called for attention again and could no longer be ignored. When the sound came, they both started laughing as they were still hidden under the covers, trying to catch their breaths. "Guess my earlier famish returned with a vengeance." Jenny chuckled. Jason replied as he stroked her hair affectionately, "I am afraid that the meal I prepared before has turned cold by now." Jenny grabbed his hand and scooted closer. She lifted her head and pulled his arm underneath it, before resting her head on his chest. "Well that is a damn shame indeed. What did you make? I want to know what I am missing out on."

Jason let out a rumbling laugh, causing Jenny to not only hear his laugh but also feel it through the vibrations of his chest. "That is one strange desire to have but if you must know, I had prepared you a simple pasta as it is easy to make, while being one of your favourites and a dish that allows you to put as many and whichever vegetables you choose. I made one with fresh herbs and the sauce you like." Jenny let out a disappointed sound. "I was so craving pasta. You read my mood just right. If only someone could have held back on one of his desires so that we could have answered this one and not let the food go to waste." Jason pulled her closer as he tightened his grip around both her shoulders and her lower waist. "That was impossible. It was long overdue and someone had to say some silly things, making whatever restraint I had vanish at that very moment. Be glad that I stopped when I did. If it weren't for us both being already tired by the walk and for being hungry, I wouldn't have let you off as soon as I did."

Jenny chuckled as Jason moved his grip around her shoulder to her neck in order to put her in a playful headlock. "Yes, yes. Thank you for your mercy my wonderful husband. Don't let your kindness be in vain by acting up now. Instead tell me, what do we do about our dinner now? Can your wonderful meal be reheated?" Jason snickered before placing a kiss on top of her head and loosening his hold on her. "Yes, I will just take the garnish off the plates and warm it back up. The cheese might not take it all that well but it should still be fine. Let me just get dressed and head downstairs. You take your time coming and it will be done before you know it." When Jason suddenly took the covers off and stepped out of the bed, Jenny quickly covered her eyes as she let out an embarrassed squeal. With a flustered voice she said, "What are you doing?! You could have at least put on your underwear before stepping out of bed like that."

Jason did not respond as he chuckled softly and shook his head in reaction to Jenny's suggestion, while Jenny peeked through the gaps of her fingers with flushed cheeks. He was dressed in a matter of seconds and stepped out of the room just as quickly as he had gotten out of the bed. He headed downstairs towards the kitchen to warm up the carefully selected meal for the woman he had dubbed his queen. As he was emptying the plates back into the pot, he was still laughing internally about Jenny's worries and reactions. Thinking about how he could never tire of them.

He had been stirring the pasta for a few minutes when Jenny finally came downstairs as well and joined him in the kitchen. She hugged Jason from behind, earning her a remark from Jason. "Too shy to look but bold enough to touch, hmm?" Jenny let out a snicker as she responded, "I just rediscovered a hidden batch of courage but if you don't like it I can back away." But just before she was able to let go Jason put his hand on top of her clasped arms, holding her arms in place. "I never said anything about that." Again a sound of amusement left Jenny's body and as she tried to peek into the pot from underneath his arms she said, "That smells wonderful Jace. Let me have a taste." The moment she said this she tried to grab the stirring spoon from his hand in order take a small bite but Jason quickly held her back. As he pushed her hand back with his free hand he said, "Be patient my dear. It is almost done."

Another few minutes passed before they could indeed enjoy the love filled meal prepared by Jason, who had tried his best to make it look just as good as it had done the first time he had served it. After hearing the satisfied sounds from his only and most important client, he became content with the result and started eating as well. When the grandparents along with their son arrived after their day long trip, all of them had been missed and were welcomed with a big, warm, smile. With newfound energy and re-established happiness, both parents held their son as he was showered with love. Each doing so in their own way. After their own parents had been thanked for their day alone, they wished them a good night before returning to their room to feed their son and put him to bed. Ending their day as perfectly as it had started.
