Little Henry

At the meeting Jason's uncle was fired from his post and he lost the shares he had obtained through illegal means. With his own companies in trouble from the crash at the stock market and his wife asking for divorce, as one of the first among his family, Jason's uncle was buried in all kinds of trouble. In the end choosing to run away instead of dealing with it. After his fall, those who had connections with him, started to fall one by one as well. Including the remaining two candidates. Though they had a practically non-existent chance at still crawling back up to the number one position, with their family's drama exposed, they had bigger things to worry about and their chances completely disappeared.

As more and more of the untrustworthy people had been removed from the company, Jason and Stephen had a chance to promote those that had been overlooked because they didn't want to fight for it in the dirty way that had been necessary in the past years. During these turbulent times, the vacation ended and the first term for both Jenny and Jason started. Both Jenny and Jason became very busy and had another adjustment to go through, suffering through another period of barely seeing each other. Jenny was on a completely different part of the campus, joined by Harry. If she wasn't attending class or studying, she was working in the hospital with Harry. With his connections she was able to get some experience as she helped the nurses and was able to learn from watching the doctors treating the patients. In this time Jason was busy with his classes, his company and his position as vice-president in training at Westwood international. By the time the first term ended, the last person that needed to be removed of their position was removed and their means of returning had been cut off. With that Jason's revenge had been executed and Stephen's long awaited desired change for their family was within reach.

Together with Jason, Stephen decided who to promote and after they had picked the right people to assign to the now vacant positions they called for a family meeting at grandfather Westwood's mansion. There they explained their want for change in the family and why they had done what they had done. Though most of them were shocked, everyone that had showed up appeared glad and relieved. They had accepted their fate and didn't think that things were able to change, let alone in time for them to be able to enjoy it, but Jason and Stephen had managed to do what they did best. Like father, like son, they loved to make the impossible become possible. Jenny watched their plans unfold from the sidelines. She was happy to see what one evening of sacrifice on her behalf had started. Glad she didn't go along with Jason's arrangement and relieved that Jason would now finally no longer have to watch over his shoulder constantly. He would now be able to hand over the management of his company completely to someone else without any worries, focussing solely on his responsibilities as the future vice-president of Westwood International.

After these turbulent times, the focus changed from revenge, scheming and hiding, to more joyous events as a bit later than planned Nick and Elizabeth got married and moved in together. After that they had Sophia's baby shower, which couldn't have taken place any later as just three days later she went into labour. Sophia and George's baby was born just before midnight on the evening of George's father's birthday, giving the brand new grandfather the best gift he could receive. When the gang came to visit them in the hospital, they could see that their son was indeed as beautiful as they had predicted. All of them wanting to hold little Henry and giving him his first gifts.

As Jason was holding the newborn in his arms, his eyes didn't stay on the baby for long. They moved from the baby, that was quietly playing with his finger as he rocked him up and down, to Jenny who was standing by his side and talking to the baby and showering him with his first compliments. He could see how happy she looked and wondered if she had been thinking about when they would start having children of their own. Though he didn't want children right now, because it wasn't the right time yet and he wanted to enjoy a bit more time of it being just him and Jenny, the last time they talked about pregnancy and children was back when they were in the middle of that mess with his family and Westwood International. Now things had calmed down considerably, which changed matters.

Back then it was his problems which were the main reason for them to not want children, now that those problems had been dealt with, he wondered where Jenny's mind was at. When Jenny noticed his stare and looked up, she could immediately tell what that look in his eyes meant and the look in her eyes told him what he needed to know for now. Their little wordless interaction hadn't gone unnoticed by the new parents or their other friends, who were watching them from the side, causing them to glance over at each other before laughing softly. Wondering the same thing as Jenny and Jason had at that moment.
