Kind hearts

While the wedding planning kept the Westwood residence busy, over at Sophia and George's house, they were busy taking care of their little princess. They had named her Amelia Rose and she was the apple of the eyes of all their family members as well as her big brother's. Though he was too young to know that saying, he was old enough to express it in his own way. Not leaving her side, whether she was asleep or awake. Being the first to run to her side whenever she was crying and giving her as many soft kisses as he could spare.

This was a great comfort to both Sophia and George, because they were quite concerned about how Henry would take the arrival of someone who would steal the spotlight from him. They had done whatever they could to get him to see it as an important task for him as a first time older brother. Telling him that he should help them out with her and that he should always make sure to protect her as her big brother. And when the little girl was born, it was clear that their words had stuck. Doing exactly what he had been told was the responsibilities of an older brother. Making his own parents jealous for their daughter having such a wonderful older brother, one they couldn't have dreamed to have when growing up. But more than jealous they were grateful for having such a great son.

Sadly Sophia had gone through a very difficult birth this time around and needed quite a lot of time to recover. Causing George to work from home for a long time in order to help her with the care for their children and taking care of her as well. Having Henry's help as well, made matters that much easier for both parents and allowed Sophia to recover and rest without any worries. Showing once more that Henry had inherited their kind hearts, which was a very welcome confirmation during these happy yet difficult times.

A rough six months after the news of the wedding came out, the actual day of the wedding had arrived. The wedding took place in the third week of August. Allowing all friends and family to be present. Including Jenny, who was in the middle of her summer break after finishing up yet another year of medical school. With all the wedding preparations, facing internship after internship, where she had to work over forty hours a week, and taking care of little Charlie, Jenny had been at her limit for many months. Making her very happy that Jason's schedule had let up since his graduation as his help with it all was the only thing that had allowed her to come out the other end unscathed. And today all the worries and pressure from those past months would be able to fall off her shoulders.

Though she had been able to handle it all with Jason's help, it was by no means an easy time for her. Despite that she was very grateful to have been trusted with those responsibilities and she was very happy to have had a second opportunity to experience all that she was able to experience because of the job she had taken on. So, today she had on a big, bright smile as she walked into the venue in a stunning dress. With Jason in a sharp suit and little Charlie in an adorable suit of his own, the family of three was drawing eyes from the staff and the guests that had arrived before them. Some even understandably worrying about them upstaging the bride and groom, though they too had their fair share of blessings in the looks department. As they took their seats, Jenny was looking around with a feeling of satisfaction about how it all had turned out.

Undeniably her happiness wasn't just caused by today's event but also by what the end of this day would signify. She was happy that those hectic times had come to an end and she was now able to enjoy the results of her hard labour. But more importantly, she was happy that she would finally be able to spend some more time on Jason, instead of just with him for the purpose of this wedding. He had been such a great help, that she felt bad that she hadn't been able to give him much attention. Aside from that she felt even more bad about the situation because Jason had taken it all extremely well. Not complaining even once or trying to force her to pay attention to him, which she was sure he had his ways for just like she had found a way to get him to turn her way when he was the one that was too busy to spend much time with her.

As her eyes were drawn to him and she moved her hand over to hold his, he looked her in the eyes with an equally gentle expression. Squeezing his hand softly to tell the words that were stored in her heart and him replying with a gentle squeeze back before lowering himself ever so smoothly to place a warm kiss on her lips. "You have done a wonderful job here Jenny. It all looks great." He said softly as he continued to stroke the back of her hand with his thumb. Adding words of praise to the long list of debts she felt she needed to repay him for, along with kindness, understanding, encouragement, help and never wavering faith in her abilities. His kind words were also adding to her determination to make up for her lack of attention towards him in the weeks that would follow this day. Weeks that she had already made preparations for during their trip over to Netherlands and was giving further shape to mentally up to this very moment. Promising Jason plenty to look forward to!
