Just talk to me!

After the boys had left, sound and color returned to the room. Everyone was dejected as they helped their dates back up from off the ground. Some of them had tried to help their friend that had been effortlessly thrown to the ground, but were stopped by Nick and George. Those who didn't heed their warnings were met with a physical break in their movements instead. As the boys were trying to figure out what happened, the girls regretted letting those two join them. The lively atmosphere from before had been killed. Suddenly Jenny woke up from her trance and ran. Despite the protest from the guys who hadn't really had a grasp on the situation and hadn't given up on her, she left to catch up with Jason. All kinds of scenario's were going through her mind. She knew she shouldn't have gone on this date. She knew there was a chance of them being caught and she knew he would be angry. What would she do if he wouldn't forgive her. The darker her thoughts, the deeper her worries and the faster her heart beat. When she finally caught up with Jason, she grabbed his hand and tried to pull him in her direction. He turned, looked at her with cold and distant eyes and pulled his arm away before walking away again. Her heart felt a stab, but this is no time to to focus on her pain. She ran again to close the distance that had been created between them and held his hand once more "Jace, please wait. Don't walk away. I know I did something wrong. I'm sorry. I know you are angry, but I promise you nothing happened."

Jason was having none of it and turned only for a moment with a cold expression and said "Oh.. was I supposed to wait for something to happen then?" before pulling his hand and walking tot the car.

Tears were streaming down Jenny's face as she felt the sting of his words, but she wiped them away before plastering a smile on her face once more. She hurried her steps to keep up with Jason and tried to grab his hand once more. This time he stopped and tightened his clenched fist. Jenny felt the coldness and anger coming from his broad back and loosened her grip on his sleeve. Her hand fell to her side as she stood frozen to the ground. She felt pain and an undescribable sense of fear. She forced her legs to move to the car Jason had just entered. With a face as pale as paper and trembling hands, she opened the door on her side and slowly entered the car as well. With reddened eyes and shaking voice she tried to explain to Jason again. "Jason, I know you are angry and you have every right to be. Just know that I wasn't there because I wanted to be. I was just there for some moral support. I didn't even want to go, but I couldn't exactly let Julia go by herself. She was in a very vulnerable state and she was very nervous. I was just trying to be a good friend. I kept all the boys at an arms length. I never gave them the impression I was there to find someone. I swear. Please look at me. You can be angry, you can scold me, but don't ignore me." However Jason was determined. He wouldn't let her off easily this time. She had to learn this lesson, otherwise who knows how brave she will be in the future. 'Cheating on him in broad daylight hmm? Let's see about that.'

The entire car ride was spent in silence. Despite all Jenny's efforts to break it and continued when they reached Westwood mansion. Jenny thought he would have to start talking to her at some point, so once she had overcome her initial shock from what happened before they entered the car and during the ride over, she tried everything she could think of to make him talk to her. Once she saw that pleading didn't help, she turned to desperation. She tried making funny faces, she tried being clingy and even tried kissing him. When he didn't reciprocate her kiss, she kissed him on his cheek instead, all the while saying she was sorry and to forgive her with pleading eyes and a teasing smile. But Jason did not cave at all. If anything, her playful antics fueled his anger even more. 'Was she treating this like a joke or a temper tantrum?! It seemed like she had no clue what he was angry about.'

By now it had been hours since Jason had refused to speak to Jenny. He was ignoring her completely almost pretending she wasn't even there. It wasn't until it was time for bed and Jenny knocked on his door and Jason still refused to acknowledge her existence that finally Jenny broke. Despite getting no response from him, she slowly opened the door to Jason's room and while standing in the doorway she looked at the man sitting on his bed pretending to be reading a book with an angry expression. With a shaky voice she said "Come on Jason. Stop being mad. I told you nothing happened. Do you plan on ignoring me forever?". Once this too was ignored she slid down the door and started crying. With a raspy voice and stuttered breathing she talked through her sobs "I'm sorry Jason. I said I am sorry. I have said that I am sorry a thousand times, what more do you want from me. If you need to hear it a thousand more, then I will tell you I'm sorry a thousand times if that is what it takes. Just talk to me!"

A bright and sunny day, but a sad chapter. However this won't be the only chapter for today, so stick with me as we ride out this wave.

A special thanks to lazylyn and patil_shrutika_21 for giving the previous chapter a power stone. I am glad you liked it!
