Jason...

Jenny waited. She waited till the last minute to check in. She waited till the last minute to board the plane. But even till the last second, as she saw the door of the gate close, she did not see Jason. Was this it? Were they going to let this end on such a bad note? Was this trip, that everyone put so much effort in, ending with them not even saying goodbye. I guess it wasn't meant to be. She should use this plane ride to forget what had happened. Forget Jason, and go back to two weeks before. When she didn't know of the existence of a Westwood family. Back to when she hadn't seen the most beautiful garden she would ever get to see in her entire life. Yeah, that would be better. It was better to forget then to hurt. She could return to her simple life, with her friends and meet a normal guy. Start out as friends and then on a fuzzy night, become a bit closer. Ending up in a grey area between friends and lovers, before one of them makes the move to completely cross that line. Jenny closed her eyes, to hide her red eyes. She just wanted to sleep and pretend it was all a dream. So that is what she did.

A few hours later the plane touched ground and she was back in the Netherlands. In a few more it would be time for her to go to school and start another school week. As if nothing had happened. Soon she was home and was lying in bed. All this time she had barely spoken and barely eaten. She didn't feel like doing anything, but sleep. After a very long and restless night, she woke up by the sound of her alarm. She stared at her ceiling for a while, before jumping up and getting ready for school. Half an hour later she found herself across the familiar building. At the gate she was greeted , by her three best friends and they bombarded her with questions about her trip. They showed self restraint during the week she was away and now it was time to spill the beans. How was he? Was he handsome? Did she like him? How far had they gone? Were they going to see each other again? Not a moment of rest was given to Jenny, from the moment she walked in, till the time the school bell rang the end to another school day. This was the first day she was actually happy when the teacher started class and they were forced to stop talking, but now that school was out, she had no more escape. So they went to a nearby lunchroom and Jenny began telling her story. When the story finished, the girls were left with even more questions, so another round of interrogation began.

"What does this mean? Will you guys simply never see each other again? I mean did you call him to explain? Did he not try to reach you? Just because you rejected him, doesn't mean it has to end there. Does it? If he is handsome, you guys get along and he is rich, then what more do you want? You have all the ingredients, you just need some time to let it all come together. Why did this have to be the end of such a perfect romance story?" Kim said. "Yeah!", everyone chimed in. "Give us something to dream about at night! If you won't have him, I will gladly take your place. He seems perfect. As long as you don't regret it after you lose him to me." Kim said teasingly. "Thanks you guys, but the damage for now is done. If he reaches out to me, then I know he still wants to try and make this work. If not, then that was it for us. Some things just aren't meant to be and maybe this is one of those things. I mean how crazy would it be if this had actually resulted in an engagement in a weeks time!", Jenny said laughingly. "That would make Susan the best matchmaker in history! Right now I want to forget and someday I want to look back at it as a beautiful memory." After chatting some more about this and other subjects, the girls each went their own ways. As soon as Jenny walked through the door, she started her routine. She went upstairs, opened the door and as she was trying to throw her bag in the corner of her room, she dropped it on the floor in the opening of her room. As she blinked to see if she was not imagining things, she slowly and hesitantly called out his name. "Jason..."

Today was a bit of a sad day. I get notifications when you guys add my story to your library, as a favorite or even give me a rating/star. Today I woke up happy seeing that another person had "liked" my story, but during the day that someone took it back. I refreshed many times to see if it wasn't a mistake, but no.

I know I am asking for quite some patience, but for a good story, you need a good build up. And I want this to be a good story, so I don't want to rush things to try and keep it as short as possible. So I decided to not let it get me down and write up the next chapter. I hope you enjoy it and some of you are still willing to go on this journey with me. The next chapter will probably be on the weekend and if not, you get a pleasant surprise ;)
