Instinctively

The stewardesses and stewards that were assigned to serve the passengers of the VIP and business class seats, possessed a high level of professionalism and skills. By understanding their clientele and the type of flight they were on, they would adjust their services and the accommodations. With this being an early flight, they had pillows and blankets ready for those that wanted to catch some sleep during the flight, soft jazz music was playing through the speakers in order to help everyone relax, and network cables had been readily plugged in on one side for those who wanted to get some work done instead.

The moment the passengers came aboard, they were guided to their seats after which they were immediately offered breakfast and asked if they wished to work, relax or sleep. Jason couldn't sleep easily without Jenny by his side and definitely not in an unfamiliar environment with strangers. Even if he was still quite tired and sleep deprived. So, he opted for the breakfast and to work. Planning to use his time to prepare his handover for Stephen. As work always provided him with a good distraction, one he could use to take his mind off of his sleepiness and his dear Jenny.

With the handover finished and his sleepiness wearing off, the plane was getting ready to land. With a serious look on his face and an unapproachable aura surrounding him, Jason made his way to the hotel. When he walked in and headed towards the elevator, a staff member immediately followed after him to take his suitcase from him after a polite greeting. They had been informed of Jason's arrival in advance, allowing them to prepare and have everything running smoothly like it had when the first part of their party had arrived a week before. Without him having to ask anything and without anyone questioning his actions as he made his way through the lobby, they had prepared his room card and provided him with assistance to his room. Remaining all the while as silent as possible in order to not disturb this powerful man that seemed far from having a good mood.

When the door to their room was opened and Jason stepped inside, mustering up a nod to the person who excused himself after helping him get here and carried his suitcase inside, he walked further inside and looked around. As he glanced around the room, he noticed that it was empty, without any sign of anyone having stayed here in the past few days. Wasting not even a second of his time, he started his quest to find the person he had travelled this early to find. With squinted eyes, he stepped out the French doors on the other side of the room, bringing him to the poolside where last nights festivities had taken place. There he was immediately greeted by the older generation of the group, that had turned in before the 'youngsters' and had already woken up to have breakfast out in the sun.

"Jason dear boy, why do you look so glum after finally joining us on vacation." Without bothering to respond to the question asked by Nick's father, other than with a slight nod of the head, he turned towards his parents and asked "Where is Jenny?" After an initial laughter and amusement from everyone present as they joked about young love and losing sight of others once they had found a wife, they were quickly stifled by the coldness coming from Jason who was currently not amused at all. Susan, who saw that he was clearly not in a good mood nor a right frame of mind to handle these kinds of jokes well, gave him the answer he was looking for as she pointed him towards the room where Mary and Jenny had been staying.

Jenny had been so exhausted when her hyperactivity wore off after her mission had been completed, that she hadn't thought about returning to the room that had been reserved for her and Jason last night and had simply crawled into the bed she had been sleeping in for the past couple of days. Jason wasted no time as he walked over to the room at the other end of his mother's index finger. When he got to the glass door separating him and Jenny, it was suddenly opened by Mary who had just gotten dressed, ready to have breakfast with the others.

She had wanted to wait for Jenny to wake up as well and have breakfast together but she was still sleeping like the dead and Mary didn't want to disturb her. With Susan and Stephen there, she had company to talk to. So, she decided to let Jenny be for now and wake her when she thought it was getting too late. Suddenly standing face to face with her son-in-law, she smiled as she welcomed him. "You must be looking for your wife. Thank you for letting me borrow her for the past couple of days. She is still fast asleep I'm afraid. But you look like you could use a few hours of sleep as well. Why don't you go join her. I'll leave you two alone." After that she stepped outside to make way for her son-in-law to go to her daughter's side.

Jason stepped into the darkened room, where the only light came from the corners of the windows because the curtains hadn't been closed properly. Seeing the small silhouette lying in the large bed, her body moving up and down gently with each breath she took, Jason's expression softened and he loosened his clothes as he moved towards the bed. He quietly took off his shoes, before doing what his mother-in-law suggested and crawling up against Jenny. He pulled her close gently and got comfortable beside her, while trying to not wake her up. But his touch, caused her to respond instinctively as she inched even closer and a subconscious smile appeared on her face. Jason let out an amused puff of air as he too began to smile before he placed a kiss on top of her head and closed his eyes. Leaving whatever thoughts and words he might have had for after they had both had some much needed and deserved sleep.
