In sync

No one had seemed to notice Jenny and Jason leaving. No one except Elizabeth of course, who was straining herself not to say anything as to not give herself away too fast. So she continued smiling and laughing with the others. After some catching up, Nick and Elizabeth went up to place their luggage in one of the rooms and started to unpack a bit. As the others looked around to bring the groceries to the kitchen, they noticed everything was gone along with Jenny and Jason. They headed towards the kitchen and found them preparing dinner. Jason was cutting vegetables up in appropriate sizes and placing them on skewers along with alternating pieces of pre-marinated meat and Jenny had tasked herself with making the salad, baking off the baguettes and preparing the different toppings and spreads. The jaws of all four friends fell to the ground as they were trying to grasp the situation. For Jenny this was quite a normal sight as they cooked dinner together during their week in the city house as well, but to his friends this was a scene so unexpected and rare, they had to rub their eyes twice to make sure they weren't dreaming. They never thought they would see the day where thé Jason Westwood would prepare dinner for them with his own hands. It seemed like he had done this before and he even seemed to be enjoying himself while performing this everyday task. More and more they were impressed by Jenny's influence on Jason's behavior and she wasn't even aware of the power she held. A word from her and Jason would bring down the skies if he could. If she actively tried to make him change, they could only imagine what she could accomplish. But it wasn't necessary for her to try as Jason wanted to change for her. So much so, he was changing subconsciously in some aspects.

Jason noticed his friends staring in surprise and shock while he and Jenny were working hard, so he decided to put them to work. "If you plan on joining us in eating this dinner, I suggest you start making yourselves useful." Jason used the word 'suggest', but everyone involved knew that his words were anything but a suggestion. So they stopped their dilly dallying and hurried along to help, while thinking 'Apparently those changes are exclusive for her'. As Jenny was occupying the counter and Jason was busy at the dining table, Julia and Sophia decided to prepare a nice fruit salad at the table outside and were Joined by Harry and George who were tasked with lighting up the barbecue. They took along the skewers that were ready, so that they could put them on the fire once they had it going. While they were busy outside, Jason finished preparing the skewers and Jenny finished her freshly made tzatziki. As they wrapped up their tasks, George came to pick the remaining plates and skewers to finish setting up the table. All that was left was washing up. While Jenny washed what needed to washed and loaded the rest in the dishwasher, Jason washed his hands as he had handled raw meat.

Their movements were in sync, so when Jenny wanted to hang up the dishcloth, Jason came up behind her to dry his hands. She felt his body closing her in between himself and the counter and turned to leave before there was no room to, but she was too late. Jason had already been rejected when he wanted to get close to her while she was unpacking the groceries and wasn't about to accept another no for an answer. So without awaiting her reaction, he lifted her up. Jenny let out a startled gasp and was placed on top of the dried counter. With this their difference in height was reduced and Jenny was able to look Jason right into his eyes as she asked "what are you doing?" Jason responded nonchalantly as he placed his arms on the counter on each side of her body "Nothing. Simply spending some quality time with my fiance." and he gave her a peck on the lips with eyes filled with teasing. "Jason, stop it. Our friends are just outside. If they look over they can see us." Jason didn't seem to care at all. "Let them look. If they are jealous they can go find their own partner. Isn't that the upside of going with other couples." he said cheekily and he placed a kiss on her lips from the other side. "Today they might look over and catch us, tomorrow it will be us catching them." and again he went in for a kiss and this time he went in from above. With the small difference in height remaining, he was able to press harder and his lips lingered, pulling the hesitant Jenny in. Once he felt her kissing back, he pulled her closer with one hand, while using the other to hold her face to make them align. Jenny got lost in the kiss and wrapped her arms around his nick as they continued their kiss.

They were only interrupted when Nick and Elizabeth came down as well. They entered the pool area from the other door in the living room and joined the others outside. Elizabeth froze to the ground when she stood at the side of the table and looked inside the kitchen where she saw Jason and Jenny through the slightly opened french doors. Her eyes grew cold and her jaw was clenched as she was unable to look away. Her nails dug deep into her flesh as she used too much force in hopes of suppressing her anger. Nick who was right behind her tried to see what she was looking at and spotted the two of them as well. He made a whistling sound, common to construction workers catcalling a pretty lady, startling them. The bubble burst, and Jenny embarrassingly looked around as if she was busy doing something other than what they were just caught doing and like a cat caught in a corner, she tried to escape. She pushed Jason aside and jumped from the counter. She headed straight for the living room, leaving Jason behind. He was still standing in his previous position as she slowly turned to glare at the person who interrupted them. Like a tiger locking eyes with their prey, his eyes seemed ready to spill blood.
