Honeymoon

As the wedding was continuing joyfully, everyone having the time of their lives, Jenny and Jason were preparing to leave for their honeymoon. Though the festivities were long from over, they had a plane to catch. Before they did, they had a few words to say. Jenny was the one who addressed their guests on behalf of both of them. "Good evening everyone. We want to thank you for coming today and celebrate our wedding with us. I hope you have enjoyed yourselves so far. I know I have and for that I have to thank my mother-in-law and most of all my newly wedded husband. Gosh, it still feels weird to call him that, but I cannot let today end without giving the two of them the credits they deserve." With a chuckle Jenny continued, "Most brides have been dreaming and preparing for their wedding for a long time, I unfortunately am not such a bride. Leaving all the responsibilities for Jason to fulfill, while maintaining high expectations." Their guests laughed along as they wondered where she was going with this.

"And all I can say is that he delivered. Today has been anything short of perfection and has allowed me to feel like one of the luckiest brides from beginning till end. Though the party hasn't finished for you, our dear beloved guests, friends and family, for Jason and I the time has come to leave. As much as we have enjoyed spending time with you today, we have a flight to catch. Everything has been paid for, including rooms for every single one of you in this very hotel, so you can stay as long as you want. We hope you will remember this day as fondly as we will and that you continue to enjoy yourselves. We thank you for your time, the gifts and the wonderful time we have had here today. For now we say goodbye and we look forward to seeing you after we return from our honeymoon."

After these words, Jenny lifted her and Jason's hand, that had been clasped together, up and the MC announced their exit. Under loud cheering and applause they exited the hotel and entered the 'just married' car that had been parked out front. It had been decorated all over for the occasion by their friends and had all kinds of messages from them on the windows and doors. Giving them a final chuckle before they officially left their wedding and headed towards their honeymoon.

In the car their hands were still joined together. As they were being driven towards the airport, they looked at each other. "We finally did it. We took a bit of a detour, but we made it to an alter and you finally became Mrs Westwood." Jenny nodded, "Now on to the next finish line."Jason looked at her a bit questioningly. So Jenny elaborated. "The way I see it we are in a relay race of life, taking us from one phase to the other. The moment we pass one line, it turns from a finish line to a starting line of the next step in our lives together. As if we are handing the baton over to the us at the start of that part of the journey. This will continue till the very end." Jason smiled as he listened to Jenny's analogy and couldn't agree more. Just like her mother had done earlier that day, Jason lifted the hand he was holding and placed a kiss on the back of her hand. "And I look forward to each step, phase and part of that journey. From today on I can call you my wife and I will make sure to keep you to your vows. Till death do us part. No backsies." Jason said with a chuckle. And Jenny followed him with a chuckle of her own as they bathed in that feeling of bliss that surrounded them.

When they reached the airport, they could walk straight to the gate and into the plane. This was the benefit of having a private plane. No need for checking in and they even had a private line at customs. Allowing them to be within the plane in just fifteen minutes. While Jason found a place for their bags, Jenny took a seat as she let out a deep breath. Looking around excitedly as today's events passed through her mind. As she looked at her bare legs, she thanked Paolo in her mind.

If it hadn't been for him, she would have had to go back to her room to change out of her dress or she would've had to struggled to change out of the beautiful dress in the back of the car while trying to not damage it. Fortunately for her, Paolo had created an ingenious design, in which he had thought of everything. The design had allowed her to unbutton large parts of her dress in the car and turn it into a short, light dress. Though he had intended to use that part of the design to allow Jenny to enjoy the party after the ceremonies more freely, Jenny loved the dress too much to 'take it apart' during the wedding. However, for this part of the day, it was perfect. It had turned from a long trained, layered dress to a short airy dress. Otherwise it would have been quite difficult to keep the dress clean and pass the airport without gaining too much attention.

When Jason took a seat next to her, he handed her a piece of their own wedding cake. "I figured you would want this about now." He said with a chuckle. Though they had a chance to taste it at the wedding self, it was only during the cutting ceremony where they fed each other a bite. Having an actual piece hadn't happened yet and was something they could enjoy now that it was just the two of them. Jenny happily took the plate from his hand and wasted no time to take a bite as Jason fastened his seat belt. While Jenny fed a bite of the large piece of wedding cake to herself and Jason in turns, the plane took off and under the clear night sky they enjoyed the sweet delight as they were headed to three disturbance free weeks of sweetness.

Another day, another chapter. I hope you enjoy as the wedding has ended and the honeymoon starts :D
