Healer TE

When they arrived at the head quarters they walked confidently into the meeting room. Stephen walking in first, closely followed behind by Jason who still appeared as calm as ever. Stephen went to take his seat as the CEO, while Jason walked over to the stage and set up his presentation. The room they had chosen was a room resembling those you see in government buildings and colleges or Universities. The seats were organized in a half circle, with a screen and stage across from the chairs. Allowing everyone to see the speaker clearly. Questions could be asked using the small microphones attached at each seat on the crescent moon shaped tables. In front of the two rows of stretched tables, there was a small straight table with just three chairs. Those were reserved for the CEO, the chairman and the president of the company. With the CEO of course sitting in the middle chair, befitting his role. The first row behind them was occupied by the board members and at the back the current five people in the running and the major share holders were seated. At the far corner of the last table, Stephen's secretary was seated to take notes of the meeting and assist in any other way needed. Though it was a business meeting, it might as well have been a family reunion with the number of Westwood family members present.

Once everyone that needed to be there was present, the door was closed and the meeting was started. The glass walls and glass door that had been transparent just seconds before, turned a milk or fog like white. Making sure that the contents of the presentation would only be seen by those inside the room. Stephen was the first to speak as he had the duty to start the meeting. "As you all know, we are gathered here today to determine the final candidates that are considered suitable to run for the position of CEO. Five of those candidates are already known and today we will determine if my son Jason will be able to join them or if the next CEO will be chosen from you five." As he said those last words he turned and nodded his head in the direction of Jason's cousins sitting side by side behind Stephen.

"As with all former candidates, they must be part of the Westwood family and they must have built a successful company without any help from family members or direct partners of Westwood International. A company is considered successful if a profit of more than one million pounds per year has been generated by the age of eighteen. This level of profit has to be present during at least the two years prior to the presentation. To ensure no outside involvement has taken place, all details of the company must be kept hidden from all family members and friends of the candidate. Identity of the CEO can either be 'unknown' or be made up for the purpose of preventing unintended involvement by family members or other parties trying to obtain a connection with the Westwood empire. As per usual all presented results of today have been checked by an anonymous, impartial third party. As Jason is my son and I don't want anyone thinking that I have meddled in any way with today's results, his results have been checked by a second company hired by the board. Both reports can be examined upon request and both examiners will be available for questioning regarding their findings after the presentation. Are there any questions before we start? ... No? Then Jason, you can start whenever you are ready."

Jason stood in front of the people present with a stoic expression, a stark contrast with their expressions that seemed to reveal all their internal thoughts and emotions, which appeared to resemble a brewing storm. Though the 'outsiders' and those who had no chance of becoming CEO appeared more curious or excited than someone harbouring animosity. After getting Stephen's 'okay' sign, Jason started the presentation he had been preparing for since before the age of twelve. All the hard work would now slowly start to pay off as he could reap the rewards one by one with each successful step taken towards his revenge. "Thank you father. The company I have built is a company some of you are probably already familiar with as over the years multiple offers have been made by different branches of Westwood International. It is called 'Healer TE'."

Gasps could be heard, fists were clenched and jaws dropped when that name fell. Healer TE had made quite a name for itself over the years, drawing the attention of many higher ups in the Westwood empire. However, they had never been able to get him to join them or even make a deal with him. Claiming that they aren't ready yet to accept such a big client such as Westwood International. This reason hadn't seemed suspicious at the time because a company as grand as Westwood International needed an equally powerful IT company to take care of their software and security needs. As Jason further explained the name of the company, many felt like smacking themselves against their heads for missing such obvious details.

Everyone assumed that the TE in the name stood for 'technical' or something like that because of the field it was active in. In reality 'Healer' is the meaning of Jason's name and TE stands for Tenebris Equum, which translates to Dark Horse. Meaning that the name of his company roughly translates to Jason the Dark Horse. Referring to him hiding his true intentions and capabilities only to win it all. But as no one expected much from him due to his misbehaving and uncaring behaviour over the years and most of them were far too busy to be searching a deeper meaning behind someone's company name, no one had noticed what had been right in front of their eyes.

Here we are with today's chapter! I hope you all enjoy learning a bit more about Jason's company :D
