Feeling blessed

While Jenny and Jason had spent their hour of self study to gain a deeper understanding of each other, Susan received her second notification in less than two weeks that Jenny and Jason had skipped out on their class. Though she was upset and worried at first, when she came home and waited for them to arrive, she saw Jason walking in with his arm around her daughter-in-law and a small suitcase in the other. Both of them were smiling happily and joking around with each other, setting her worries at ease and making whatever anger she had disappear. She was happy to see that Jenny had returned. Westwood mansion hadn't been the same without her, nor had Jason.

When they noticed her on the living room sofa, Jenny appeared a bit startled and awkward. So, Susan took the initiative to greet her as to let her know that she wasn't upset. "Can I take it that you have returned?" Jason could tell that the two of them needed some time to talk among themselves, so he told Jenny that he would take her belongings upstairs and that she could come and join him once she was done. Jenny responded with an "Uhn" and a slight nod of the head, after which Jason placed a kiss on the top of her head before heading upstairs. Jenny walked over to Susan and stood before her mother-in-law as she nodded in response and said, "Yes mother. Sorry for leaving in the first place and behaving immaturely."

Susan shook her head and grabbed her hand as she said, "As long as you know that this will always be a place for you to return to, I can deal with you leaving for a few days. Though I hope that this will be the last of your fights requiring such extreme measures. Fighting between couples is normal, to this day me and your father-in-law have fights about the most silly things and even Jason's grandparents are no exception to this, but as the bond between you two deepens and you grow older, you learn what fights are worth fighting and which aren't. Until then I will stand patiently by the sidelines and watch how you two grow." Jenny was grateful for Susan's understanding and forgiving words. She smiled gently and folded her other hand over Susan's before taking a seat next to her and resting her head on her shoulder out of gratefulness. While staring out into the distance she softly said, "Thank you mother." Feeling blessed for getting to marry into such a kind and understanding family.

After receiving a comforting patting on the back of her shoulder and hearing Susan say, "Enough clinging onto me. Jason must be growing impatient after having been apart from you for so long. Why don't you go join him." Again Jenny responded with an "Uhn" and a nod of the head, though this time it appeared a lot more cheerful than the one spoken before. "Then I will excuse myself and go upstairs. I will see you again for dinner." Susan nodded as she waved her hand to tell her to go and not mind her. She watched as Jenny headed towards the stairs, before she got up and walked to her and Stephen's wing. She was headed to the large office at the far end, where Stephen was working from home again today. Excitedly she entered his office without even knocking or allowing him to respond, she gave him the report of what had happened today. Making him sigh a breath of relief for his son, daughter-in-law and his loving wife, who could finally set her mind at ease now.

When Jenny arrived at the room she and Jason shared, she walked in and saw Jason bent over her suitcase. Doing what he disliked, unpacking her stuff and placing everything where it belonged. Jenny looked at him in silence from a distance with a soft smile and gently eyes. When Jason had placed the last item in it's rightful place, he closed the suitcase back up and got ready to put it back inside the closet. That was when he saw Jenny standing by the door and looking at him. "Why are you staring at me from all the way over there. Is what I am doing so rare that you are approaching me like a wild animal during mating season. Afraid of startling me and making me stop?" He said with a chuckle. Jenny let out a laugh as well as she started walking in his direction. "Well, you unpacking is indeed as rare as a panda bear being born. So, I didn't want to disturb you in the middle for fear that you will drop the task at hand and it becomes mine to do instead."

Jason had by now started to approach Jenny as well. When he was close enough, he put his hand around her waist and pulled her to himself. He dropped his head and placed their foreheads against one another as he closed his eyes. How he had missed this. It still felt a bit unreal. It was only a few days ago when he had been convincing himself that his dreams had been predictions of the future to comfort himself. And now Jenny had returned to his arms. Jenny moved her nails up and down Jason's arms as she stood there in silence with closed eyes. Soaking up all the love Jason was showering with. All the love she had missed out on these past week and a half. After a few seconds Jason said with a low voice, "You had better be prepared to make up for the lost time and I should let you know that I have a steep interest rate." Jenny chuckled, "Well, in that case I had better prepare myself." But she got no chance to prepare at all as Jason had already locked their lips and kissed her deeply.

Here we are with today's chapter! I hope you all enjoy and I will be back here tomorrow.
