Fast asleep

As the plane was moving along in the sky, taking them to their destination, Jenny had fallen asleep in Jason's arms while he stared out of the window. He had been working on a few last things and had given the last instructions for the upcoming three weeks so he could fully log off during their honeymoon. In that time Jenny had dozed off against his chest. Though they had a bedroom inside the plane and they could sleep on the bed, they would be arriving at their destination in a few hours and he didn't want to disturb her. Instead he was lost in thought, glancing back and forth between Jenny and the night sky.

Two hours later the plane landed but Jenny was still fast asleep. So, Jason did what he hadn't done in quite a while and he carried the sleeping Jenny in his arms out of the plane. Since, they didn't have to pass customs or go collect their bags, all he needed to do was get her off the plane without waking her and after that they would be fine. After successfully carrying her down the small steps of the plane, he placed her down gently in the car that was parked outside. Waiting to take them to the hotel. When they arrived at the hotel, he repeated his actions and carried her inside. The personnel had already been informed of Jason's arrival and since this was a branch hotel of the chain they owned, no checking in of any sort was required and he was recognized and welcomed in an appropriate manner. One person hurried outside to carry in their bags from the car and another rushed over to call down the elevator. A third person approached with his room keys and followed them inside and up to the top floor where they would be staying. Once, they had let Jason and Jenny inside and the other staff member had carried in the bags, they excused themselves and Jenny and Jason were alone once more. Jason gently placed her down on the bed and brushed a few strands of hair out of her face as he covered her with a blanket.

Though tonight was supposed to be their wedding night and he had imagined that it would have been a lot more eventful than this, he couldn't do anything about it if she was this deeply asleep. Nothing had managed to wake her up. Not even two transfers, nor the plane landing. Though he could have sworn she was woken up when he carried her off the plane, her eyes had remained shut and she didn't respond to him calling out to her. So, for now he would have to settle with stealing a kiss from her and change out of his wedding outfit as well, take a shower and go to bed. What he didn't know was that Jenny wasn't as deeply asleep as she wanted him to believe. In fact, she had been awake since they had gotten off the plane but somehow she couldn't get herself to open her eyes and let Jason know that she was no longer asleep. Though they had almost crossed that line before, she was feeling a bit scared now that the moment was before them. Just for tonight she needed to escape and feigning her sleep was the simplest way to do so without getting anyone hurt. By the time Jason came out of the shower Jenny had fallen back into sleep for real and she didn't wake up until they heard a knock at the door from room service as it was time for breakfast.

She sat up in the bed, while Jason let the staff member carry in the cart holding the plates with their food. When Jason saw that she had gotten up, he walked up to her as he said, "Finally awake sleepyhead?" And caressed her head as he placed a kiss on her lips. He greeted her with a, "Good morning." As he watched her colour crimson shyly and lift the blankets up to cover a part of her face because of the person that was with them. Though, just like any place that was connected to the Westwood name, the staff were trained to keep their eyes and mouths shut and ensure their clients' privacy, Jenny still felt a little awkward to be intimate in front of one single stranger. She had gotten used to Jason getting close to her in larger groups, she could still pretend that they weren't watching them and were busy doing their own thing, but with just one person standing right in front of them that pretending was a little harder to do.

After that person walked out, Jenny called out to him. "Couldn't you have waited till he left before you did that? I haven't even washed my face or brushed my teeth." Jason chuckled before he answered, "Well with the number of hours you have slept I was starting to wonder if you hadn't been cursed and fairy tales have taught me that to wake a princess from a sleeping curse I should kiss her." Jenny narrowed her eyes. "Nice try prince charming, but I was already awake when you kissed me." Jason shrugged as he said, "Oh my bad. In that case, I did to make sure you don't fall back asleep." Jenny shook her head as she realized that this was one battle she wouldn't be able to win and got out of the bed to wash up and brush her teeth for breakfast.

Hello dear readers, another day, which means another chapter. Today was a bit surprising as I got a lot more than than I had anticipated and since I have a busy day tomorrow, I will release all the chapters I have managed to write today.

This means that there will be no release tomorrow and possibly Saturday will have just one chapter release. But that will depend on whether I am able to write multiple chapters that day or not. In that case, it will just mean an extra chapter for this week. The latter seems more plausible :D

I hope you enjoy and I wish you all a good night for now and I hope to see you all on Saturday :)
