Fangirling paparazzo

Jenny chuckled as she watched Charlie dash away before she continued to help Jason unload the car. "His usual behaviour towards playdates and such truly makes you wonder what about these visits he enjoys so much." Jason shrugged and said, "Who knows. Maybe he has a crush on someone here." Jenny still not being ready for her little boy to choose someone over her felt an indescribable fear hearing those words, which she quickly dismissed as something impossible. "Stop joking around. If he is anything like his father in that aspect, he will marry the girl he really falls for. Since, he was telling me just last week that he wanted to marry me, I doubt there is a little girl around that has managed to steal my handsome boy's heart."

These words caused Jason's eyes to narrow for a brief moment as he said, "He did, hmm. I guess I am going to have to have a talk with that boy about trying to take what belongs to others." Jenny laughed as she felt that Jason's jealousy had no bounds and was amazed at seeing just how far it stretched. Almost to the point that she wondered if he was just joking along because he knew that she enjoyed to tease him about this. This didn't stop her from making the most of this situation as she added in a playful whisper, "Hmm, I don't know about that. Being his mother, I belong to him as well don't you think? So, in that aspect he knows perfectly well who or what belongs to him."

Shooting Jenny daggers he answered, "This and that are different. He should stick to his role as the son and not stick his nose where it doesn't belong. You should stop doting on him so much and catering to his every whim. We can't have him turning into too big of a momma's boy. That way no woman will want him when he grows up." Jenny started laughing even louder as she felt that Jason was being too funny with his level of claiming her. Having teased him enough she stroked the back of his head with a gentle smile before she pulled their lips closer and gave him a kiss. "I might dote on him a lot but kisses like these will always be reserved just for you." Jason's eyes narrowed once more, though this time with very other intentions, as he stroked the side of Jenny's face. After sharing another, longer lasting kiss, they headed inside with the first batch of gifts for the many children in the large building in front of them.

Once all the gifts were inside, Charlie was given the honours of handing the gifts out, just like he had done last year. While this was taking place, Jenny was squealing from excitement and taking multiple pictures of every exchange or otherwise important moment, making her seem more like a fangirling paparazzo than his mother. This was giving Jason a show to enjoy as well as he loved seeing this childlike excitement from Jenny. After all the gifts were given out, it was time for Charlie's playdate and for the two of them to interact with some of the children there as well.

While Jenny was using building blocks to play with some children on one side of the room, she could see Charlie enjoying himself on the other side of the room with some other children, most of them fairly older than himself. She smiled before her eyes drifted to one of the windows, where she caught a glimpse of Jason being fully immersed in playing basketball with some of the older kids. Carrying one of the smaller children on his shoulders, while carrying another one in his arms to include them in the fun. She felt a tingling sensation in her heart upon seeing this selfless kind side of him but she couldn't enjoy this view for very long as her attention was called back to the blocks by the children that noticed her attention drifting.

They spent the entire day like that until Charlie was on the verge of falling asleep in the middle of playing. That was when they called it a day and headed back home. On the drive they discussed a topic that had been discussed once before. "Seeing these kids here and knowing they have no one to call mom or dad, makes me feel like giving one of them a home." Jason glanced over to Jenny, before he returned his focus to the road in front. Seeing that she was being serious, he gave a serious reply as well. "Yeah. We should definitely use adoption as a way to expand our family. But not until we are done having children of our own. So, whenever our second rascal is here, we should definitely visit the orphanage with the intention of taking one of them home with us."

They were in the middle of this conversation when their phones went off and the message that Julia had gone into labour came in. From their past experiences they knew that from the moment a person goes into labour and the actual arrival of the child is quite some time, so instead of heading to the hospital right away, they first headed back to the Westwood mansion. After putting Charlie in his bed and making sure that he was being looked after, they headed back out and went to be there for their friends, who were having a very exciting and nerve wrecking day.
