Effortless charmer

The brothers enjoyed the party to the fullest while everyone that was a part of the Westwood family combined the fun with what they had come here to do. Which was building connections, shaking hands and making the empire grow stronger and larger. Even little Charlie was pulling in his weight. His presence was proving to be a good asset to making the desired connections as it caused people to approach them more than ever. Even the other powerful parties in the business world, that usually were quite stoic and hard to connect with, seemed to make an exception in their harshness when it came down to their little man. Just like his father Charlie was an effortless charmer but since he hadn't acquired the 'Do not approach' aura yet, that seeped out of Jason's body when he did not try to suppress it, Charlie was able to captivate those that did not find charm in Jason's unapproachable demeanour especially with Jenny's assistance.

Though Jason's personality had never kept him from achieving what he was aiming for, he didn't mind Charlie reducing the effort that was needed to do so. He knew that the only way he could properly suppress the intimidating atmosphere that surrounded him was by smiling and he was not one to waste smiles for just an everyday interaction or just a regular business deal. He saved his smiles for those that had earned it or deserved it, a list which didn't include many people. But the one person who was always on that list, who was always able to get him to smile at them effortlessly, even when he was actually upset, was of course Jenny. During these events she always made sure to use her effect on her cold, stubborn prince to soften the expression on his face and with that the air around him in order to make his interactions with others more smooth sailing. Since she also had the gift of bringing out Charlie's most adorable sides, increasing his charm as their little heir and as a family of three they were a triple threat to those that were present.

After a successful night, where everyone had been able to enjoy themselves and achieve one goal or another, the party of nine returned to the Westwood mansion. Though the brothers usually stayed at the house in the city, since it had gotten quite late, they had decided to stay in the wing where they had previously stayed to await Charlie's arrival. "Are these parties always so grand Jenny? Because if that is the case, I am more than willing to accompany you to some of these event. That way you can give your my brother-in-law some rest and I can go as your plus one." This was when Jason intercepted as he said, "The position as Jenny's plus one will always belong to me. I don't care if I have to drag my body forward to accompany her but I will make sure to stand by her side one way or another."

A deafening silence filled the car before Jenny broke it by falling out into laughter. As she wiped the tears that had formed in the corners of her eyes with her index fingers, she said, "Well, there you have it. The position as my plus one is filled for life but if you guys are ever around when these events take place, you are welcome to join. As long as you are prepared to entertain yourself and not cause me or Jason any trouble, because unlike you guys we are actually there for work and not just for playing around." To which her two of her brothers replied with an "Aye, aye" and a salute, while the third chuckled in the far corner of the car.

Susan and Stephen looked at this interaction between brothers and sister with perplexed expressions. Even though they had seen some of these moments before during these past weeks, it continued to surprise them. Because although Jenny was the youngest and was the little baby sister they all aimed to protect, she was also the most mature and the one that they seemed to listen to when it came to most day to day things. Turning her into a mother-like figure even when their actual mother was present. But since she was too kind to cause an alteration in their behaviour on most occasions, where Jenny despite her small stature was able to get them into action in just a matter of seconds, she had naturally assumed the position as her mother's stern assistant. A position, they couldn't help think, had probably helped her a lot during her early stages of interacting with Jason.

In just a short twenty minutes the group arrived back at the mansion. Once they were inside, they all retired to their own rooms. Including Jenny and Charlie, who went upstairs after wishing the newly accepted uncles and all of his beloved grandparents a good night. But despite it being late already, with the excitement of the evening, the brothers could not and had no plans to sleep just yet. Using most of what remained of the night discussing what they had seen and experienced at the event and only giving into sleep when the sun was starting to come up.

Here we are with today's chapters. I apologize in advance if I missed any typo's or weird sentences after changing them for the umpteenth time XD

Enjoy and I will do my best to write two more chapters tomorrow as well!
