Dizzy spell

Jenny smiled and gave Jason a soft kiss on his lips after his declaration. Without spending another word on the matter, she turned towards the buffet and said, "So, what do we have here? Anything you recommend my dear husband? You can't be planning on keeping all these delicious looking foods for yourself now right?" Jason chuckled as he said, "And here I was, thinking you came here for me but in the end it was your love for food that got you to get dressed up and come over after a long day at the hospital? I am heartbroken." Jenny looked at him with a smirk on her face and teasing eyes as she said, "You only figured that out now? Men come and go but food will be part of me forever!" They spent the rest of the evening joking, chatting and having the occasional business conversations. Turning Jason's lonely night into one filled with fun and pleasures.

After that evening of leisure and fun, Jenny's busy times started up again and she was back at the hospital making plus forty hours a week. Though the department where she was interning was a much easier department, with almost no weekend or night shifts, she felt herself being more tired than ever by the end of the workday. Despite Jason's concerns whenever he saw her drag herself out of bed in the morning and those voiced by her in-laws whenever they saw her pale complexion these past few days when she came home, Jenny insisted that she was fine. This wasn't a lie on her part as she truly considered herself well enough to be making her hours at the hospital. It wasn't until one morning dizziness was added to her already fatigued self causing her to almost faint. Luckily Jason was there to catch her before things got ugly.

Despite this, Jenny was about to mumble that she was fine but was interrupted before she could finish her sentence. Not getting past the, "Thank you. I am f-" before Jason yelled out, "That is it! I am done listening to you telling me you are fine. Do people who are feeling fine faint out of the blue?! I am telling you Jenny, you are staying home today even if I have to tie you to the bed to make sure of it." Though Jenny didn't like Jason raising his voice at her, she really didn't have a good comeback at this point and if she was being honest to herself, she couldn't blame him for getting angry either. If the roles were reversed, she certainly would have given him a talking to before forcing him back to bed as well.

She let Jason assist her back into bed and he helped her under the covers before he headed through the dividing door and into the other room. From the bed she heard him trying to cancel his meeting. After a little back and forth, it seems it was settled that instead of it getting cancelled it was moved to later in the day so that he could spend the morning at home. When he returned to the bedroom and took a seat by the side of the bed, his earlier angry eyes had filled with concern. As he gently stroked her hair, he asked her with a soft, worried voice, "How are you feeling? Are you still dizzy?" Jenny shook her head and said with an equal soft voice, "I am fine."

Not convinced of this yet he continued his questioning, "What came over you so suddenly? I have never seen you as week as you have been these past days." After that he placed his hand against her cheek to see if she had a temperature and repeated it with his forehead against hers in hopes that one of his inaccurate methods would be able to provide him with some insight regarding what was going on with his wife. In the end his verdict came up as, "You have a bit of a temperature but nothing like a real fever." Jenny grabbed his hand and held it between her own as she let out a soft sigh and smiled at Jason. "I told you. I am fine. I am sure it is just some residual fatigue from the busy times before. Because right now I have nothing noteworthy to cause any type of fatigue. It's the regular forty hours a week, the regular rapports and the regular mommy business."

Jason looked at her for a second, as if trying to find the answer he was looking for in the browns of her eyes before he let out a soft sigh as well. "Fine. If you say you are feeling fine I won't bother you anymore but I won't change my mind about you staying home for today. If you still have a temperature by lunchtime or have another dizzy spell I will call the family doctor to have a look at you." He again exited the room before returning shortly with the second love of her life in his arms. With his angelic voice he asked, "Is mommy sick?" Jenny grabbed the boy from Jason's arms and pulled him tightly against her in a big bear hug as she said, "No. Mommy is doing just fine. I wasn't feeling very well but seeing you my darling Charlie, I immediately started to feel better."

When Jenny let go of him, he lifted his small hand up and placed it on her cheek just like his father had done moments before and said, "Then I will stay in bed with mommy so you stay better." Having her heart fill with a flood of warmness while simultaneously being squeezed tightly from her son's adorableness, she pulled the boy in for another hug as she gratefully accepted his offer. Jason, who was standing in the opening of the diving door, was watching all of this go down and chuckled as he though to himself that bringing Charlie here was the right call. This way he would be his eyes in the room and would ensure that Jenny would stay in bed, while he would also serve as the right type of entertainment for her. While he left the watch to Charlie, he went downstairs to fix the both of them some breakfast in bed before he would get started on the company matters in their office.
