Devoted and persistent

The following nights Jenny got more and more comfortable with sleeping next to Jason. By now she no longer struggled, she was no longer kept awake by his breath in her neck, but the butterflies she felt from his arms on her waist and the closeness of their bodies remained. The greeting of his 'friend' in the morning would also still throw her in a frenzy, but Jason would try to be mindful of her by leaving the bed the moment he woke her up with a gentle kiss on the forehead, shoulder or lips. While she was still rubbing the sleep from her eyes and stretching out to wake herself up, he would long since be in the bathroom taking a morning shower.

Even the pajama situation was taken care of. After the first night she had settled for one of Jason's t-shirts as her new sleepwear. Their difference in height turned the t-shirt in a modest sleep dress. She combined it with some loose soft shorts, because she was a wild sleeper, which would cause loose clothes to crawl up and expose more than she wanted. Despite these efforts Jason's naughty side would try to make Jenny more used to his touch under the guise of sleep. Each night he would grab her by her waist and pull her body close to his, holding her arms, placing his hands on her waist or wrapping his leg around hers. This had been the case for the first night, the second night and would be the same for the third. This caused Jenny to no longer be guarded when he did this. Jason had planned to use this opportunity to make Jenny consider continuing these sleeping arrangements when they returned back home.

While Jason was trying to use touch to get what he wanted after this vacation, in the room below Nick was doing the opposite to get what he wanted. Despite Elizabeth's taunting and teasing, by wearing seductive and revealing clothes, showing off her figure. She would even change in front of him with her back facing him, allowing him to imagine but not actually see. She figured he would crack if she kept this up and if not, it would be proof of how serious he was about her. But to her surprise he was holding on quite well. He had endured three days of this and had not even made an attempt to touch her. With multiple cold showers a day he was holding on to his determination. Not even while they were in bed together nor when she was asleep, would he try to get away with touching her. She tested him by pretending to fall asleep on one of their nights together, but even when it was deep into the night, Nick hadn't moved an inch. Still skeptical of his intentions, she kept her daily challenges going.

It was day four of the vacation and till now things had been going smoothly. As Jason and Jenny came down from their room to join the others, they walked in on Harry and Julia kissing each other as they were hugging each other in the water. Over at the pool side Sophia was being koala-grasped from behind by George and was leisurely lying on his chest while getting a tan. His arms around her chest and hers resting on his while moving her fingernails back and forth over his underarms. Everyone seemed to be getting along great, everyone but Nick and Julia. Where all the guys seemed to have gotten some affection from their future missus, Nick despite his best efforts, hadn't even gotten a consensual hug. They saw him trying to play it cool as he struggled to look Elizabeth in the eyes while his were being drawn further down by her exposing bathing suit. Seeing all of this, Jenny started to no longer be embarrassed about what they had witnessed of her and Jason and relaxed a bit when Jason made his advances towards her.

With each move from Nick and every laugh that went past Elizabeth's barriers, the other couples looked in their direction. They were quite surprised at first to find their friend was so serious about Elizabeth. Not because there was something wrong with Elizabeth, but because they had never seen him so focused on one girl nor did they think he would be so devoted and persistent when he was getting nowhere with her. Who knew that Elizabeth would be the one to ground the one they thought was destined to be the lifelong bachelor. Now they understood why Jason had allowed him to stay and forgave him despite his bold move. They were curious to see how this would end as they sneaked glances every now and then from the corner of their eyes. Even Jenny couldn't help but look over at their interactions. Half of her reason for looking was curiosity, the other was trying to determine whether Elizabeth was serious about Nick or not. Only then could she possibly trust her enough to let her back in this group after their vacation. For now she was just glad that she seemed too busy keeping Nick at bay to create any trouble. Hopefully things would stay this way as the week progresses. Or better yet, hopefully Nick would put his playboy ways to good use by gaining the affections of the thorn that had been in her side. Who knows, this way she might even gain another friend. They must have something in common if they had fallen for the same man, right?
