D-day

Another day passed and tomorrow was already Friday. The day of Jenny's entrance exams and the day before their wedding. Jenny and Jason were getting ready for bed and were going over the last details. "Tomorrow is D-day. Do you feel ready?" Jason asked as Jenny was putting on her face cream. "As ready as I'll ever be I guess. I have done all that I could do and you have helped me every step of the way." "Are you still aiming for the specialized med program?" "I have applied for the regular program as well, but my preference goes out to the specialized program. Not only will it give me a better chance when looking for a job after I am done, it's a more intensive program. Meaning I'll be able to learn and do more in the same amount of time. Giving me many opportunities that would otherwise be hard to come by. If I don't manage to get in, that just means that it wasn't meant to be and I'll have to make due with a longer path."

Jason grabbed her hand and squeezed it. Just as he always did when he wanted to give her a little courage and push. "You'll do great. Don't worry about it and just do it like we practiced. It may be a tough program, but it isn't impossible to get into. Plenty have gone before you and I know a few of them personally and they certainly aren't smarter than you are. So, if they managed to do it, so can you." Jenny nodded as she looked at him with a gentle smile. "Yeah, thanks. Will you be dropping me off?" Jason nodded this time around as he said, "Of course. How could I miss this day? Of all days to drop you off, tomorrow is an absolute must. I have cleared my entire schedule for the morning so that I can pick you up once you are done as well." Jenny felt relieved hearing this. "Thank you. I could really use one of your calming hugs before the test. I was already wondering what I would do if you wouldn't be able to go with me."

Jason pinched the tip of Jenny's nose when he heard this. "Keeping worries to yourself again? Didn't we have a deal?" Jenny playfully poked out her tongue as she had her hands folded into a prayer to plead for forgiveness. "Sorry, I didn't want to add to your workload and worries. I don't want you collapsing from exhaustion because I leaned on you on top of all that you are already dealing with. No test is worth that." "Do you really think I am that weak? I can handle this much just fine, so lean on me without any worries. I have much more to deal with after the wedding. If clearing my schedule for a morning and a wedding was able to get me down, how will I be able to get through the time after that?" Jenny chuckled. "I guess that is true. It will take some time for me to deal all my thoughts with you, but I am trying to not hold anything back. And I am getting better. I could have held back my worries after you said that you were taking me to my exam, but I shared them in the end, didn't I?

Jason patted Jenny's head as he pulled her into his arms. "Yes, that is true. You did well. I will let you off for today as you corrected your mistake in time. Let me go over our schedule for tomorrow instead. Your exam starts at 9 A.M. and will last till 1 P.M.. We will leave the house around 8.15. Making sure we are well on time and giving you plenty of time to calm your nerves and do some final prep-work. Your family and friends will be arriving throughout the day as well. I will be picking up mother and your brothers myself, while you are taking the exam. I will take them to the house in the city where they will be staying till the Sunday after the wedding. For the other guests I have prepared a pick-up service. I have received everyone's flight schedules and I have asked my assistant to follow the flights. He will make sure someone is there to pick them up when they arrive and they will be brought to the hotel where the wedding will be held. I have booked all the rooms. So, all guests that come from far or have had too much to drink during the wedding can stay for the night, including the rest of your relatives and your friends."

Jenny simply nodded as she listened to Jason's well thought out plan. "As for me, after I drop your mother and brothers off at the house, I will return to the exam venue and get some work done as I wait for you to be done with your test. We will have a late lunch and then I will go back to the office and I will have a driver take you to the city house as well. So, you can spend some time with your family till I am done with work. Once I am done at the office I will join you there. After dinner, we will be checking into the hotel as well, where all are stuff will already be waiting for us in the suit rooms that I booked under our names. That night we will sleep in separate rooms as is customary in our family, before we can say our "I do's" and spend the next three weeks to compensate for that night by not leaving our rooms for even a minute." Though he had said those last words as half a joke, he still got a response from Jenny. "Oh my, aren't we confident. I don't know what you plan on doing in that room, but I hope it's not trying to make up for almost two years of waiting. Neither of us will be able to handle that." After a little more back and forth, they finally turned off the lights and got under the sheets as Jenny had a big day tomorrow and they both had an even bigger day the day after tomorrow. Both events that required plenty of sleep.

Here is today's chapter! I hope everyone enjoy's and I will be back here tomorrow with a new release :D
