Compensation

In just twenty minutes Jenny and Jason arrived at Westwood mansion, but now that they had arrived at their destination, Jason seemed unwilling to go inside. He was walking up the steps slowly as he rocked Jenny's hand back and forth. He stopped when they were standing in front of the door. Jenny turned around to face him and asked, "What's wrong? Let's go inside. It is cold out here." Jason stepped closed to her and started playing with the band of her dress that went around her waist. "You just look so pretty. I don't feel like I have been able to enjoy it enough." Jenny chuckled and said, "You can have all the time you want to admire it once we get inside. What's the use of standing here in the cold?" This was when Jason pulled her towards him with the waistband he had been holding and put his arm around her before he started kissing her. But where Jenny simply thought he was acting spoiled and wanted to have a sweet short kiss before heading inside, Jason had a different plan in mind. He kissed her passionately, even pressing her against the door and continued till she was completely out of breath and her face was flushed. "What was that all about Jason? Your acting like we will be apart for a week once we step inside." Jason scoffed. "A week? That was just compensation for one night." Jenny became visibly surprised, "What do you mean?" Jason pretended not to hear her and continued, "Who knows if you'll let me kiss you once we're inside."

Jenny didn't understand Jason's cryptic way of talking, but that wouldn't last for long because Jason let go of her and unlocked the door. He gestured for Jenny to get inside first and when she stepped inside with her weakened legs to turn on the lights, she was greeted by a loud "Surprise!". Jenny was flabbergasted. The living room that was empty this morning, was now filled with all their friends, her friends from the Netherlands and her family. Even Jason's grandparents had come down for the occasion and her in-laws were standing among the crowd as well. With a camera in hand to film her reaction. She turned around to look at Jason, who was standing behind her with a sweet smile. She pointed at the crowd and back at herself with a confused look and Jason chuckled as he nodded and pushed her further inside. "What's going on…didn't you guys have an event you couldn't miss? And didn't you guys have a big test on Monday." One by one Jenny was pointing at the guests and trying to clear up her confusion. "Well, isn't this an event we couldn't miss? We never said what event it was."

"You really had me fooled. I was beginning to think you guys didn't care and that I was making too big of deal out of this." Jenny said with misty eyes. To which her friends and family started laughing. But when Jenny said, "This is amazing. Thank you all." They all shook their heads or hands and Julia said, "This was all Jason. He contacted us almost three months ago and told us he wanted to give you a big surprise on your birthday and if we could play along." Kim continued the story as she told Jenny, "Yes, he contacted us a few months ago as well and asked us to keep this weekend free and he flew us in yesterday. We have been staying in the city villa. He asked us to say that we couldn't make it and he has kept us informed of his plans ever since." While listening to the stories they were telling, Jenny's eyes kept being drawn to the man who had made all of this happen. Jason took off his jacket and he whispered to Jenny, who had still been standing by the door opening of the living room, "Go and greet your guests, I will go in the kitchen to finish up your cake. A certain someone messed up my plans by trying to be a good girl. That was something that wasn't in my calculations." Jenny was amazed as she realized that even her having to go to work was part of his plan. She nodded her head absentmindedly and watched him head towards the kitchen in a daze.

After that her attention was quickly caught by the excited friends and family that had filled the room. She talked to each and every one of them. Thanking them for coming and they telling her how Jason had involved them in his plan. It wasn't till she was gushing with her friends over Jason's wonderful surprises for today, when it occurred to her that Jason had been gone for quite some time and he might have been speaking the truth when he said that he had made a three-story high cake. A childlike excitement filled her heart once more and she excused herself as she skipped across the room towards the kitchen. There she saw Jason with rolled up sleeves and an apron, holding a piping bag to decorate her cake. His back hid most of the cake, but from what she could see, it appeared that he was right when he said that he had outdone himself.

Here is chapter number two! I hope you enjoyed and I will be back here tomorrow with another chapter.
