Combining two cultures

Jason held back his laughter as he saw the glaring tigress. He had teased her enough for now. He had their whole lives to tease her. He should let her off till after the wedding or at least not make matter worse for her. As the surprises that had already been planned, would not be overturned. "I concede. I concede. Have mercy my dear bride. I will tell you." After that Jason held her hand and explained, "I remembered what you told me about how weddings go in your culture and I wanted to bring some of that over to our wedding. After all we are combining two nationalities and combining two cultures. So, why should only one be represented on our wedding day? One thing that you told me about was how you guys don't only have a white dress, but also a green dress. I loved the symbolism behind it and wanted to something with that for our special day as well." Jenny looked up at him sideways, but Jason's eyes were still directed at the two white bags in front of them as he continued to explain.

"I am surprised you didn't find anything suspicious during the dress fittings and the design process. I really thought you would catch on earlier. Paolo has made you plenty of customized dresses. Did you really think he needed two fitting sessions to make you one dress? Weren't you suspicious at all? The reason that you needed two fitting sessions was because I had Paolo make you not only a white dress, which you put on the first time around, but also a green dress. Therefor the final fitting you had wasn't for the white wedding dress, but for the green one. If it weren't for such an important occasion he would have needed neither of those sessions, but since we were going for perfect, he had one for each dress just to be certain."

With his free hand he pointed at each bag in turn as he told Jenny what they contained, while Jenny continued to stare at him with amazement. This was a detail she had discussed just once with him. How did he remember it and how did he think about it when he had to put our wedding together in such a short amount of time? "So, the bag on the left has your green dress and the one on the right your white dress. I gave him a few pictures and video footage that I got from your mom of how such a dress should look like and he used that to create one that would suit you. Just like your other dress, I haven't seen this one either, so I hope he got it right. If not, we still have the second element that I got our wedding as well, which is the dance in the traditional costume. It will be performed by your cousins and I have hired a few professional dancers as well to make it look good even if there aren't many of your relatives who are skilled at it. I even got a scarf and a gold mirror for the mirror ceremony."

Jenny looked at Jason with loving eyes as she watched him excitedly tell her about what he had planned for her. It was at these moments that she was reminded why she loved him so much. He cared about her so much and no matter how busy he was, he always made sure to keep her feelings in mind with whatever he did. She was already happy that he had managed to plan a wedding in just a few weeks. So, she didn't even consider to make any requests or suggestions to have elements of her culture incorporated as well, only to have him think of those elements himself and executing them in such a loving manner.

She felt herself getting a bit emotional and didn't know quite what to say to Jason, who had turned to face her now that he told her all that he had prepared, hoping to see her face filled with happiness and approval. With reddened eyes and a cracking voice she told him, "I thought I would be fine if we had to sleep in separate rooms for this one night. I told myself we have done it plenty of times before and it was just a few weeks ago when I was sleeping on my own every night, but right now I feel like it will be one of the hardest things I will have to do before our wedding. How can I not want to hold you for every second of this day and the next, when you do something so sweet for me, with no expectations except my happiness?"

Hearing these words from Jenny, Jason felt that it was better than anything he could have imagined. Making all the effort he had put into preparing this for her worth it. For once he was the one at a loss for words as he looked at her, who was evidently touched by his actions, and he chose to remain silent. He conveyed what he felt with actions as he pulled her close and pulled her face up by the tip of her chin. He placed a soft kiss on her lips, before hugging her tightly and placing another one on the top of her head. After they stood there for a few moments of utter silence, Jason let go and they wished each other a good night. Jason left the room and headed to his own as they both prepared themselves for tomorrow and headed to bed.

Here is chapter number two and as I said in the other chapter, I will try to finish tomorrows first chapter and publish that today as well or I will post a preview of the wedding day :D
