Bruises and welts

Both Jenny and Jason had a wonderful last day. Jenny's day was relaxed, and Jason's day was active, but each of them got what they wanted and needed from this day. Jenny had told her mother all about her life in England, her friends, and her school. Showing her pictures of everyone and of course also pictures of her and Jason together, allowing her to feel like she was there, even if only for a moment. Over at Jason's side, he had managed to have a fun guys day with Jenny's brothers and where the day had gone better than Jenny had expected, he did come back with some bruises and welts from his day at the paintball place. He had kept his mouth shut about the wounds he had gotten until they were on the plane, because he didn't want Jenny to get upset at her brothers.

Jason's plan was to hide the hurt parts of his body from Jenny till the bruises and welts had healed. Things like paintball, like any activity among just guys, can get a bit rough and he wanted to end their trip on a positive note, not with her brothers getting an angry talking to from Jenny. However, he also knew how bad it looked, so if Jenny saw what had happened to him after spending a day alone with her brothers, she wouldn't let it go. He had it all planned out. Thinking he could hide the pain till they were out of the country, as he and Jenny would only meet up just two hours before their flight would leave. That would only leave them enough time to grab their bags from the hotel room, check out and get on the bus that would take them to the airport. Though her brothers had offered them a ride, Jason told Jenny that he didn't want to bother them, so they said their goodbye's in advance. Eliminating another chance of getting exposed, as they would be cramped with so many people together in their standard sized car.

It all went by smoothly and according to plan. As they were boarding the plane, he figured that with a hot bath and by putting on some ointment the souvenirs of this day should be gone in a few weeks. By the time school started, the time would pass by quickly and his cover for Jenny's brothers would be over in no time, leaving Jenny none the wiser. It wasn't until Jenny picked up her neglected book during the plane ride, that he got exposed. Jenny enjoyed reading against his slow and soft moving chest and the plane ride provided the perfect reading atmosphere, so she took her usual place in his embrace as soon as they got on. However, the moment she did, it caused him to flinch. Jason had closed his eyes to ignore the pain he felt on his back as he leaned into the chair, so he didn't see her coming, which inadvertently caused him to give himself away. When she turned to ask him what was wrong, he tried to brush her question away with a head shake and a "Nothing.". But his fake smile made Jenny suspicious.

"Don't lie to me. There is clearly something." She patted his chest down to his abdomen with both hands, but she didn't need to go very far as he stopped her hands almost immediately after she started. Again, his expression turned, and he seemed in clear pain from her touch, making her want to look at what was causing this. She lifted the tip of his shirt and the first bruise was already revealed. It looked really painful and it was swollen in the middle. As Jenny subconsciously tried to touch the surface, Jason's stomach pulled away, causing her to look up at him.

"What happened? Didn't you guys go for paintball? Did you shoot each other point blank for it to look like this?! I can't believe my brothers." "Don't get mad at them Jen. We were just playing, and things got a bit out of hand. I can take a little pain like this. I am not that weak or delicate that I need you to protect me from them. How will that make me look if you get mad on them on my behalf after we finally started to get along? Then these wounds will really be for nothing. Promise me you won't say anything." Jenny looked at him for a moment with her arms crossed with an reluctant expression, before she saw the pleading determination in Jason's eyes and let out a deep sigh as she said "Fine...But the next time this happens, I am taking one of those paintball guns and I will use it on them as target practice." Jason chuckled, each up and down movement of his body causing him pain from the contact with the seat. "I will keep that in mind."

The rest of the flight was spent in a peaceful silence and when they landed in England, Jenny rushed to the nearest pharmacy as Jason waited for their bags. She bought a few ointments and patches suitable for treating bruises and welts and went back to Jason. Once they collected their bags and got in the familiar car that was waiting for them outside the airport, Jenny waited for the parting to be put up before she said, "Take off your shirt." Jason was quite surprised by her sudden demand but saw what she was holding in her hand and got the gist of what she wanted to do. So, he complied and allowed Jenny to treat his wounds. After he was all ointed and patched up, he could feel the pain dropping and he started feeling more comfortable as they continued their ride home. Where Jason hadn't been able to hide his pain from Jenny, he had been able to hide the surprise that he had put in motion before they had left for the summer. His face remained calm as they were nearing Westwood mansion, but inside he could feel his excitement grow with each second that was ticking away and each meter that was passing by. Bringing them closer and closer to the reveal!

Later than planned I finished today's release. Some days go smoother than others. Despite starting on time, I couldn't get it done in the time I wanted, but I hope you will still enjoy.

My thanks goes out to Humaira_Jarjisa for the power stone gifted to yesterday's chapter. I am glad you liked it and I hope the others enjoyed reading it as well.

I wish you all a good night and I will be back tomorrow with another release.
