Being adorable

After being met with silence after saying all of that, Jason slowly lifted his arm away from his eyes to see Jenny's reaction. To his surprise, looking at him was a Jenny with a very amused and loving smile. "Who is the one being adorable now, hmm? How am I still so surprised to find out how loved I am? Who knew you were actually concerned about things like this? I know I don't initiate much but that does not mean that you are 'pushing' or 'forcing' me in any way nor have you ever. If I really don't want anything to happen, I'll be sure to tell you. Though I must admit you have a way of breaking down my defences and sometimes my will to say no. But even then I don't consider that something to blame you for. Just like yesterday, if I am at my limit or simply don't want to, I will call you a brute and push you away. So, don't worry and just do what you feel like doing, okay?"

Jason stared deeply at her as he was trying to determine if she was speaking the truth or just saying this to comfort him, while trying to confirm her feelings and expressing his own, he subconsciously reached out to touch her face as Jenny softly chuckled in response. Feeling that Jason was being extra adorable today, she suddenly felt like doing something she didn't usually do. As she looked at Jason she asked, "Can I kiss you?" Jason clearly being caught off guard by her question replied stammeringly, "O-of course." While turning his face away for a bit and his cheeks being as red as he normally made Jenny's he added in a bit of an embarrassed tone, "Why would you ask something like that when we are already married? You know that he answer would always be yes." Jenny let out another chuckle before she said, "Good." She then lowered herself to kiss her endearing husband, who always was exceeding with confidence except for rare moments like these, which in turn made her feel like teasing him and give him some affection.

Having cleared the air and Jason's misunderstanding, they were ready to return to their room where they continued their stargazing on the deck of their room under the comfort of a warm blanket. Jenny was sitting sideways on Jason's lap, leaning her body against his chest, while the other had his arms wrapped tightly around her waist. Like this they admired their clear view in the chilly night air. After spending some time enjoying the stars, Jenny turned her face around towards Jason's. Still feeling a bit of the emotions that had caused her to initiate their kiss earlier that evening, she looked at Jason for a bit as her lashes moved up and down and her hand moved to touch the side of his face.

Jason did not respond and just looked at her patiently, wondering where she would take this, before she slowly brought her face closer to his and closed her eyes as she initiated another kiss. This time the kiss was longer and deeper than the one by the lake. When she broke the kiss up, she lifted her full, long lashes back up as she looked at Jason once more before locking their lips again. After exchanging a series of passionate kisses out in the cold, Jason asked her "Do you want to take this inside?" Seeing that he hadn't fully let go of his earlier concerns and was still needing some encouragement and confirmation, she nodded as she softly said "Yeah." with determined and unwavering eyes.

Jason didn't need to hear this twice, as she got up from the lawn chair and lifted Jenny up effortlessly in a princess style. He slid the door open with his foot without breaking his eye contact with Jenny and closed it behind him in the same way. After gently placing her down on the bed, he kissed her softly before looking deeply into her eyes once more as he gently grazed over her cold cheeks with his thumb. "Are you sure?" Jenny smiled softly as she nodded her head. Seeing that Jenny's answer had not changed, he lowered himself again and they continued what they had started under that starry sky.

The next morning Jenny woke up feeling refreshed. When she turned around, Jason's eyes were still closed and he was breathing softly. Jenny watched him sleep with a big smile on her face before her fingers moved to play with his soft, messy hair and to touch his long lashes. It only took a few seconds from this before her hand was caught mid air as she was moving onto his other eye's lashes. Slowly Jason opened his eyes and with a hazy voice and a soft smile he said, "Good morning." as he was locking their fingers. Jenny's smile gained a trace of warmness as well as she replied, "Good morning to you too." She used her other hand to brush aside the strands of hair that were long enough to hang in front of his eyes while she asked, "How is my adorable prince doing?"

Jason, who was still lying down and was playing with Jenny's fingers, looked up when he heard Jenny's seemingly innocent question. With a shy glare he asked, "How long do you plan to call me 'adorable'? With three brothers there is no way that you do not know that this word isn't exactly considered a compliment among men." Jenny chuckled as her internal tease started to make its way to the surface. "Doesn't that depend on you? If something or someone is adorable, then I have no other choice than to call it adorable right? So, as long as you keep pulling cute faces like that, I am forced to adjust your title accordingly." Jason looked at her for a few seconds before he let out a deep sigh as he buried his face in the pillow and gave up his futile struggles in this battle with an obvious and predetermined victor.
