Avoiding me?

Jenny had survived her first week of school and the weekend had finally started. They had nothing planned, because the weather was horrible. Jason simply wanted them to have a quiet weekend at home and spend some time with each other. This past week had been too revolved around other people. He was done sharing her time and attention. That was the plan, but Jenny was still avoiding all of Jason's advances. As soon as he came within a 1 meter parameter from Jenny, she would scurry away using some weird excuse. He didn't like her being so skittish around him and he didn't understand why. They had been much closer than this. Before she moved here and after as well. So why was she behaving so weirdly around him now. He had to find out what was going on, because he was slowly starting to lose his patience. She had allowed him close to him during the last few days of school, so he thought it was just his imagination and let what happened before go. But after he had been been denied any form of intimacy on two different occasions on Saturday and once before on Friday, he was done. So Jason planned to take action later that night. Jenny had come from a poor family and she wasn't used to having people doing everything for her, so she was still doing all the little things herself. Despite the protests from Jason, her in-laws and even the personnel. So Jason knew that after dinner she would enter the kitchen to make some tea and get some snacks to enjoy on the sofa in the living room. The personnel who didn't want to make her feel awkward in there, always made sure to leave the kitchen for at least one hour after they had served dinner and dessert. This would give him the perfect window of opportunity to confront her. With only one exit, he was sure he would be able to prevent her from running away before getting an answer.

So Jason waited patiently. He behaved like any other day and spent dinner like he always did. As soon as he saw her get up to clear the plates, something she did every night since she had gotten here. She didn't mind as there would only be the dessert plates and the serving dishes left. This time however Jason followed her right after, after telling his parents that he and Jenny would clear the table and they could go prepare for the benefit they had later that night. This would ensure him that they wouldn't enter in there right after them in order to "help". This was between her and him and he didn't want anyone to interfere while he was trying to fix whatever it was that was causing this. Jenny was startled after she saw him enter the kitchen.

"Jason, you surprised me. What brings you in here?"

"Oh nothing much. I just wanted to help you."

"Oh that is sweet, but there isn't much to done. You can leave the dishes over there, I will clean them once I am done with the plates."

"Okay, in that case I will just watch and chat as you finish up" He was prepared for this much. He wouldn't go down without a fight.

"Really, it is fine. Why don't you join mother and father in the living room. You will be able to sit much more comfortable there. I will join you guys after I am done in here."

"Why are you trying to make me leave? I just want to spend some time with you alone. Don't you?"

"Sure I do, but what would your parents think if we stay in here for so long. I don't want them to get the wrong idea."

"Is that why you have been avoiding me? Because you are afraid of what my parents are thinking?"

"Don't be ridiculous. I haven't been avoiding you at all. We have seen each other everyday this week haven't we?" Followed again by an awkward laugh "he he..he".

During this entire talk Jenny has not looked Jason in the eyes once. This proved to him that she was lying, but he was willing to play along.

"Oh really? Well if you aren't avoiding me then you don't mind me getting a little closer, right?" Jason wasted no time to put these words into action and closed in on Jenny, who finally turned around to face Jason. Jason had slowly backed her into a corner. Just as he was going in for a kiss, Jenny rejected him once again by turning her face and pushing his body away. "Stop it Jace. What if your parents or someone from the staff walks in." But Jason did not budge and even put his hand on the wall to block Jenny's path. "So you were avoiding me. What is wrong with me kissing my fiance. The staff has been trained in discretion and my parents wouldn't mind at all. In fact they would be happy to see that we are getting along so well." Jason ended his move by showing one of his trademark smirks and waited for Jenny to make her move. Jenny looked back in Jason's direction. This time with a more fierce expression than before and said "Stop messing around Jason!" as she escaped through the opening between his arm, his body and the wall. However before she was able to walk out of the kitchen, he grabbed her arm and pulled her back. He lowered his face and said "If you are going to be embarrassed regardless of what we do in here and who walks in, I might as well give them a proper show!"
