An unapologetic greeting

Jason was having fun with Jenny's desperate attempt to ensure the success of their second ultrasound but Jenny would be the one having the last laugh. When she ended her conversation with their unborn child with a final question, just before the arrival of her gynaecologist, asking, "So, will you cooperate my sweet child?" She actually got a response. Though Jenny and Jason were silenced for a moment by the kick of their baby, this didn't last long. The well timed response caused Jenny glee for receiving an answer and Jason shock that Jenny had managed to reach their child, before they both waved it off as a coincidence after indulging themselves for a brief moment. But when the doctor actually came and went through the proceedings of the ultrasound, they were both forced to reconsider if they had not waved their babies response off as coincidence too soon. On the screen they were boldly greeted by their baby doing exactly what Jenny had requested just moments before. Their baby was facing them with its legs spread wide. Giving both them and the gynaecologist a clear image of what was supposed to be hidden.

Even the gynaecologist herself was a bit surprised and turned to the two of them with a question. "Do you still need me to give you an envelope with the gender of your baby? I think it is clear for as all what young Mrs. Westwood will be having..." And indeed. Though Jenny's gender reveal party hadn't been ruined by their child hiding itself, it had been spoiled by an unapologetic greeting through the ultrasound machine. With wide opened mouths, as they stared at the screen in disbelief, both Jason and Jenny shook their head no. With an image as clear as that, there was no need for any filling or papers. Jenny and Jason had found out at that very moment, without the help from the gynaecologist and from the bakery they had employed, that the two of them would be following in their friends' footsteps in this aspect as well. Their first child, against the hopes of his grandfather Stephen, was clearly a boy as well. Making all the mini-members of their group thus far of the same gender.

As they walked out of the office, still somewhat surprised by what had happened in there, Jason said, "I sure have married an impressive person. Only you would be able to threaten an unborn child in order for it to cooperate and actually succeed." Caught off guard by Jason's remark, Jenny turned to him a bit bewildered before laughing at his 'compliment'. "I didn't threaten him. I am just very connected to him and he cares for me already as the person feeding and carrying him. So, he decided to help me out by being a good boy." Jason, who couldn't resist teasing Jenny said, "Could it be that he feels more connected to you because of the small difference in height between you two." Jenny shot him a glare before laughing at Jason's silly joke. "Watch it mister. Don't make me badmouth you to our son and have him hate you before he is even born."

Jason gasped, "Oh my. Now that you have finished threatening a foetus, your own flesh and blood, you move on to another loved one. This time trading a target smaller than yourself for a much larger target. Has your courage no bounds? Has your desire to intimidate no limits? I for one, shall not stand down. I shall fight against my oppressor till my dying breath. I will not allow you to scare me into being docile. No matter how hard you try." Jenny shook her head. Not knowing what to do with such a silly man as her husband and father of her child, she decided to do the only thing she could do, laugh. As Jason continued his speech of bravery, Jenny turned towards her stomach as she put her words to action.

"You heard him my dear boy. Your father still doesn't believe you are smart enough to understand me and is dismissing my threats as being nothing. Won't you prove your daddy wrong and make your mommy proud once more. He thinks he can defeat me just because he is taller than I am. Till you grow taller than him, we have to show him that we can defeat him without letting our height be a disadvantage. You may not be able to do anything to him now but if you want to prove him wrong when you are born, I suggest you pee..." Jason who was catching onto what Jenny was telling their unborn son, was taking no chances as he covered Jenny's mouth before she could finish that sentence. With muffled sounds and while trying to pull his hand away Jenny continued her message. Getting out her sentence one or two words at a time, "...ing in..." "his.." "...face during.." "his.." "first diaper change." All the while Jason telling her to stop and getting pulled along in Jenny's talking to her belly as he too started to speak to their unborn child in that manner. Telling their still developing child to not listen to her and that he should be giving his mother and father the same amount of love and the same kind of treatment. While joking along like this, they made their way back to their car.
