A week of privacy

Soon Jason had picked out something he was sure Jenny would like. He had the store clerk wrap it up nicely and payed for it. Now another item for Jenny was laying in his pockets. He was going to hide the necklace and surprise her with it during their dinner on his birthday. Jenny wasn't able to attend his birthday party, because he deliberately planned it for the weekend after she left. That way he could spend his birthday alone with her and with a bit of luck she would feel bad for not being able to attend or she wouldn't be aware it was the week of his birthday at all. That would give him leverage to make her accept this gift. To ensure the success of his plan, he was going to give it to her in a special way.

In these weeks he was learning more about her, he found out that she has a weakness for chocolate and that she was very interested in a party trick with a chocolate ball. This ball is melted open, using heated chocolate. As the ball is opening, a hidden item is revealed. Normally this is a scoop of ice cream and a piece of cake, but in this case, it will reveal her gift. Since Easter and spring break were overlapping this year, his plan was perfect for this time of year. Instead of a chocolate ball, he would use a huge chocolate Easter egg. They could pretend they were having an Easter dinner instead of an Easter lunch. This would make her suspect nothing and maximize the surprise element of the gift. Taking his effort into consideration as well, he was convinced she would be unable to refuse. Especially if he brought his efforts up when she showed the slightest hint of hesitation and exaggerated them a bit. Jason laughed internally as he was imagining Jenny's different expressions.

Jason was awakened from his imagining by the church bells in the distance, which were chiming the current time. He looked at his watch, cursed at how late it was already and rushed to his car. It was time to go to the airport already. He did not want to be late in picking her up. However picking the perfect gift was proving to be a more difficult task than he had thought. This caused him to need much more time to pick out her gift, than expected. He needed something that would match Jenny's style while showing others that she was taken. All while not making Jenny suspect anything. He called the home front on his way to the airport to ensure everything was ready for their arrival at the city house. When both the head maid and his mother assured him that the preparations had gone perfectly, he upped his speed towards the airport. He had just parked his car and had made his way to the arrivals terminal where Jenny's flight was supposed to land, when he saw her step out of the door opening. Despite him being in the airport for such a short time, he had managed to create a small crowd surrounding him and stealing glances. Right now he still had his regular expression on, which said "don't get near me" so everybody kept their distance. As passengers were exciting the gate, they saw his expression soften. The crowd followed his eyes to see who or what could have that effect on this handsome stranger.

His eyes had landed on Jenny, which made that hostile expression melt instantly. He ran to her and hugged the petite figure standing in front of him. This earned them gasps and looks of jealousy from the people around them. While the girls were staring at Jason and gave Jenny looks of envy, the men were doing the opposite. Jenny was surprised by Jason's actions, but her expression softened as she felt his happiness to her return. Jason in his turn could not hide his excitement any longer as he tightened his grip. Jenny rarely allowed body contact, so this was a big improvement from the hand grazing during his visit to the Netherlands. He could not let this chance go to waste. Unfortunately for Jason Jenny's acceptance of the hug lasted only a few seconds. Soon he felt small hands pushing him away. He was forced to let go. He got rid of his disappointed expression and reminded himself that what was awaiting them was a week of privacy. He would get plenty of chances to initiate body contact and plenty of time to grow close enough to Jenny. Close to a point where she wouldn't push him away.
