A week filled with...

After having a well deserved tea time, the time had come for them to discuss the plans. By now Stephen had come home as well and after he was filled in, everyone had questions. What was Jenny going to do? How long was she planning to stay or had she already made up her mind to come and live with them permanently? Seeing that Jenny was still attending school and the school year had not finished, nor was there currently a school vacation, she could not stay for long. She had sent an email to the school to ask for leave for one week. She was currently taking a course which allowed the students to plan an international trip for one week. She proposed that she would catch up on missed schoolwork of this week, when the other students were away on their trip to Italy. She had received an approval while Jason and her were talking outside. So Jenny agreed to staying for a week, for now. After that, she would return to the Netherlands to finish her current term. Depending on how this week goes and how the visits thereafter go, they could decide on a more long term plan. This would give the couple a solid three months, including spring break, to determine if they wanted to further pursue this relationship. This was something they could all agree on. As for where they would stay, that was clear. They were going to stay in Westwood mansion. This way Jason and Jenny could maximize the time available to get to know each other. What no one knew however, Jenny had not agreed on getting into a relationship with Jason. She had merely agreed to getting to know each other. After such a bad start, how was she to even consider a romantic relationship with Jason. Did he even feel this way about her? No, for now their goal was to get along as friends. What comes after that, only time will tell.

With Jenny's school matters being taken care of, it was time to ensure that Jason would get the same time off. A week was not a long time and a lot depended on it, so they had to make the most of it. Though Jenny got her answer fast, Jason got his reaction even faster. He simply had his mother send a message to his teacher, saying that Jason would be out for a week starting today. In a matter of seconds Susan received an "OK" sign. No questions were asked, no explanation was needed. This was not just because Susan was the principle, but also because they too knew how to grab a opportunity when it presents itself. A week without having to walk around on eggshells? Yes, please! Besides, Susan had made sure to hire private tutors for him to catch up on the missed lessons in the weekends following Jenny's departure. With reluctance Jason had agreed to this. Now that the formalities had been taken care of, it was time for a week filled with activities. dinners, walks and everything one could imagine! The first walk started now, Jason took his time after dinner to show Jenny around in the garden. It might not be as beautiful as the garden on the school grounds, but this garden was a sight to behold as well. As they walked side by side, they started telling each other everything they could think of. This continued in the days following. Mary spent this time sight seeing around England, accompanied with Susan and sometimes Stephen as well. They were just as determined as Jason in creating a good impression and getting to know the other party. Susan and Stephen always imagined that they would have a good relationship with the in-laws that they would have through their offspring. As they only had one child, and weren't planning to have any more in the foreseeable future, this would be the only chance they would have to gaining a friend next to gaining a daughter-in-law!

Finally the weekend has arrived and another chapter is finished. I am glad to see that the number of readers are steadily growing. I hope more and more people get to know my story and enjoy it!

Get ready for small flash forward ;)
