A vixen

Jenny had escaped to the bathroom after saying "I'll think about it." In the mirror she saw a collection of hickeys that were a courtesy from last night and she rubbed her fingers over them in the mirror. In her mind she cursed at Jason, but at least in his shamelessness he had kept the next morning in mind as they were all placed in places that could be hidden. He had stuck to her lips in the beginning, but when the matter of changing clothes had come and she had given him an elbow to the spleen, he took his revenge by placing a love bite just behind her ear. This of course caused even more anger in Jenny, who then stomped on his foot with all his might, which resulted into the other two hickeys where her neck went over into her shoulders. If she would rearrange her hair properly no one would be able to see the spots and just to be safe, no matter what outfit his grandmother would have prepared for her. Just to be safe she used the concealer she obtained in the bathroom to hide the spots as much as possible to avoid any new wild idea's in Jason's grandmother's mind.

While looking at her reflection, she told herself that she would really consider his words and think about their truce turning into peace. She too was quite done with the fighting and at a point they would have to stop. She knew that what Jason had said, was said in a moment of anger and frustration. Maybe she should just let it go and let the fight till now be whatever it was. The only thing keeping her from accepting his proposal right away was that there was something bothering her in the back of her mind. She felt that if they left this matter unresolved and just pushed the feelings under the proverbial mat, it would come bite them in the ass later on and turn into something much bigger than it already was.

As she stood in front of the mirror her eyes glazed over once more as she got lost in thought. Jason's actions weren't all that came back to her this morning, her mind also went over all the words she pretended not to hear last night and had tried to force herself to forget. These people sure were vicious, calling her all names in the book all because of jealousy and arrogance. Including claiming she was nothing more than a vixen who had tempted Jason with his body. That she was nothing more than a lucky whore, who would be discarded when Jason was bored with her. She was called gold digger and even her in-laws were insulted for accepting a girl like her in their prestigious family. Saying they must be blind to think she was suitable or worthy of a guy like Jason. They must be planning to single-handedly ruin their son by pairing him with a useless nobody like that. That night she gritted her teeth, put on a forced smile and pushed herself through, only to suffer a second blow during another run to the bathroom.

There she was forced to listen in on some people who started bringing up her past. As she was sitting in one of the stalls in the ladies room, three women, who later were revealed to be Jason's aunts from grandpa Westwood's brother's side, came in. They started talking about how Jenny had made Jason get rid of the one person in his circle of friends that could be considered close to suitable. She could still clearly hear the words spoken by the three of them.

Saying things like "Sadly she has now been snagged up by the Richards family, while we are still stuck with this hick from some unknown village in the Netherlands."

"Let's just hope that Jason manages to open his eyes, before his chances at the Westwood empire are ruined by her."

"Why couldn't they have settled with her being his plaything or girlfriend and left a thing like marriage for someone that deserved to join our family with the title of Mrs. Westwood."

"I even overheard someone saying that she had snuck into one of the guestrooms with Jason at today's party and was even caught by grandmother. How could she still be laughing with her happily over there. Does she have no shame."

"If she did, she wouldn't have done such a shameful thing here. I wonder what lies she told to get grandmother to forgive her for such a shameless act like that, to make her like her at all really."

"She sure is a skilled wench."

"Indeed, despite causing that mess, she got Jason to apologize to her and on her behalf to grandmother. One of the servants apparently heard them talking in the corridor after they saw her storm away earlier."

At a certain point she felt like she had enough. As it didn't seem like they were planning on stopping anytime soon. Jenny walked out, in hopes of making them feel ashamed and stop talking. But people like that, who felt more superior than everyone else, never felt shame for their actions as they deemed them justified. In fact they even turned the situation around when Jenny came out with a calm, icy expression. Instead of feeling caught, they looked her up and down with a condescending stare and said, "Oh my, look who we have here."

Here we are with today's chapter. My thanks goes out to Humaira_Jarjisa for her continuous support in the comment section. As always it is much appreciated :D
