A royal wedding

After that day two years had passed and it was time for the promise of generations to be fulfilled and for the hand that was asked that day to be taken and to never be let go. It was not only the day of Eva and Charlie's wedding but also the day for Sam to marry his beloved Fiona. With a double wedding, this occasion was being celebrated as grand as one can possibly celebrate a wedding. A ten tier cake, hand written place cards in ink made from real gold, tiaras and a three day lasting celebration in a real castle. Neither effort nor expenses had been spared for this royal themed wedding.

On the first day of these three days surrounding love, another romance long in the making would bloom. This was the surprising romance between Henry and Amira. The first spark was lit a few years ago during James and Anne's wedding. It was at this time that Henry began to notice that Amira was no longer a little girl but had started to become a woman. Feeling that she was too young, he pushed his feelings aside but Amira had no such intention. Once she had set her eyes on something or someone, she would do whatever it took to make it hers. Henry was no exception. So, for the past two and a half years she had been flirting with him to the best of her abilities. Causing the kind-hearted Henry to stammer and test his restraint more than once.

Another person whose restraint was tested by her behaviour during the past two years was Jason, though in a much different way. In his eyes no person would ever be good enough for his little girl, who was the spitting image of Jenny, but he knew that Henry was just like his father. A person that kind and patient was as close to the perfect son-in-law as a person could get. At least with Henry he could be rest assured that he would never intentionally harm or hurt her. Plus, Henry was probably the only other person other than himself and Amira's brothers who would be able to deal and keep up with her spoiled nature. Only someone as sweet as him could continue to pamper her the way they had over the years and without getting frustrated for even a second. Making his kind and easy-going temper a perfect fit for princess Amira. The only person who needed to realize that was Henry himself.

Dressed to kill, Amira had come to the wedding with full determination to make Henry's weakening restraint cave. She had worked on that goody-goody for years now and had slowly chipped away at that big brother armour he had built in order to shield himself from his real feelings. For that last layer, she had borrowed one of her mother's favourite dresses. It was a dress she had fallen in love with as a kid, when her mother had worn it to an event where she was allowed to come along. She had looked dazzling and like a princess. So, when it was made clear that the theme for the wedding would be 'A royal wedding', that dress was the first that came to mind.

The dress was bit more simple at the top, but the back was fabulous. It had an half open back, which was embellished at the edges and at the bottom of the opening a second layer was introduced. It was sheer and flowy. Like a veil of the night it flowed with every movement and showed of the intricate details that were put into it at every turn. Small gold flakes had been embroidered at just the right places. Being barely noticeable, yet managing to catch everyone's eyes, while making them feel like it was an illusion at the same time.

One of the people whose attention the dress caught was her intended target, Henry. With widened eyes his gaze slowly looked up at vision in front of him. The now officially adult Amira looked directly into his eyes with a daring look in her eyes and slowly approached him. When they were standing face to face she said without batting her eyes even once, "Like what you see? Don't hold back in your stares. It is all for you." As she stepped even closer and grabbed his tie that had been tucked away behind his buttoned up suit jacket she said, "Just like I assume you have done all of this..." After giving him a look-down she finished her sentence as she said,"... for me." Ending her sentence with a dangerous smile.

Henry swallowed hard, feeling fully defeated by whatever this petite woman threw at him. How was she able to say this things so easily?! Doesn't she know what kind of effect her words and actions have on him? No matter how much restraint he showed, how much strength he gathered to hold himself in check, it was all turned to nothing by her small actions and gestures. With her being a minor no longer being a valid reason to not pursue the feelings that he had locked away in his heart, he was feeling that it was becoming harder and harder not take her up on her playful offers. Even a person as kind as him had a limit when it came to doing the 'right' thing. He felt himself thinking "Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if we became a couple..."

Amira, who noticed his deep staring and saw how he was lost in thought, could pretty much imagine what was going on in his mind and chuckled before she placed a soft kiss on his cheek and walked away seductively. Feeling his eyes following her as he stared at her with an open mouth, she glanced back once and blew him a hand kiss and gave him a wink before turning her eyes back to the front. This last simple move cracked whatever had remained of Henry's shield. In an almost audible way, the lock on his heart broke and the chains fell off as his heart sped up greatly.

He subconsciously followed his heart over to Amira's side and didn't leave it for the rest of the day but he didn't make his move until another playful comment came out of Amira's mouth during their first dance together after the nuptials of the two brides and grooms had been finalized. Under the warm lights of the dancefloor he told her that if her that if her offer still stands, and if she was certain that the loss to her wouldn't be too great, he would be most willing to trade all of him for even a fraction of her heart.

Again Amira looked up with a chuckling smile, she looked at his eyes with her warm brown ones and responded with, "It was about time. If you didn't make your move today, I was going to jump you and cut your exit off completely. With your personality you would insist on taking responsibility for me and marry me on the spot, now you get to have the pleasure of proposing to me on your own terms. But don't wait too long. I don't know how much longer I can remain patient."

Like that, another mini-member had found her forever after happiness and had taken the first step to join the others in the bliss of matrimony. The other members were content with the more simple relationships they were in. They had no desire yet to marry and were more than happy to leave those things to their siblings who had apparently felt ready to take that step. But it was certain that all of them had found happiness and that they too had managed to find the person they would marry on their first try. That kind of luck had to be inherited because it was too much to expect from coincidence!

As promised, my next book can be visited here: https://www.webnovel.com/book/a-decision-to-change-a-lifetime_19545883405591605

I hope everyone will come to support this novel as well once I start writing in May. For now you can at least see the cover and synopsis :D

And here we finally are. The last chapter of ADM. I started this journey a year and a half ago. Back then I never expected my story to become so big, to get not one but three offers to have my book contracted nor that it would have over 600 chapters!

I started this out as a little project for fun and with it I have experienced many highs and lows. I have wanted to quit many times but each time something pulled me back to continue the story. Some chapters were great, others I have banned from my memory after publishing them. Some were easy to write others a downright battle. But in each chapter I poured my all and I am so happy that you were all here to go through this rollercoaster with me.

I want to thank everyone for sticking with me through it all and I hope to see you all back to support my next story that will start around the beginning of May as I am in dire need of a proper break XD.

Aside from certain chapters staying with me, there are some readers that have stood by me in more ways than one and deserve a final shout out in this last authors note. Since you have taken the effort to write or donate something to me, I went through all the 625 chapters to look through the comments and authors notes to see who I need to mention here.

They always say you never forget your firsts. So here are some firsts for ADM:

- Lazylyn (first review)

- Shugarr (first comment)

- ENOCH_INBEN (first powerstone)

- kp_46 (first offer to become contracted author)

These are the high rankers:

- Humaira_Jarjisa (highest number of comments)

- Patil_shrutika_21 (highest number of powerstones)

And the remainder of my love and thanks goes to:

- Titania23

- Heart59

- Savanna_Muchmore

- askgive

- Chimmypunu

- qwertuiioop

- Rachel_Essary

- Lanie_Tayone

I don't know if you are all still following the story or if you will get to see this but you all deserve my thanks. With your support I couldn't and wouldn't have lasted this long nor made it so far. So, thank you all so much!!

And now this long story, this extra long chapter and this long authors note will officially end. The only thing I will do tomorrow is publish an update here on the title of my next work and a short summary. If you liked my writing style, I hope you will show your support there too.
