A plan

The next morning Jenny woke up before Jason. Not wanting to get caught by him looking at the watch she planned to buy for him, she quietly got out of bed by gently lifting his arm that was around her waist and inch by inch shuffling to the other side of the bed. With each shuffle she looked over to see if he was still sleeping, before finally reaching the end of the bed. She lifted the covers and got out of bed. She grabbed her phone from the nightstand and tiptoed to the bathroom, which seemed like the safest spot as he wouldn't be able to walk up behind her without her noticing. She opened the door ever so gently as to not make a sound and snuck inside. After taking a final glance to see if he was still asleep, she snuck inside and closed the door behind her. Once inside she took a seat in the empty tub and looked up the name of the store.

Once she found the right store she started scrolling through their new arrivals and found the watch she had seen in the display window. Her enthusiasm quickly turned to shock when she saw how expensive the watch was. She shouldn't be surprised given the fact that this was an item that had caught Jason's eye, meaning it had to be special and special had a special price tag as well. Plus, the store itself should have prepared her as well as it was a high end store in a high end warehouse. It was one of the apparently many warehouses that the Westwoods held shares in. So, if she wanted to, she could get the watch for free as they were the majority shareholders and practically owned the store. Even if they didn't give it to her for free, this amount was but a drop in a bottomless ocean for the Westwood fortune and as she was supposed to become a part of the Westwood family, she had been given access to that fortune, but she wanted to pay for Jason's gift with her own money. And to her, who had worked hard for every penny she owned, that was a very large and shocking amount. Even if she poured all her savings into buying that watch, she would still be three thousand pounds short.

She shook her head and snapped herself out of it. She pumped herself up and found a strong sense of determination. She was glad she had started her preparations early, because now she had time to gather the funds she needed to buy Jason's gift. She didn't care how she had to do it, but she would get it done. She simply needed a plan. Jenny got up out of the tub and walked over to the other bathroom door and walked out into the room. She grabbed a notebook and a pen and walked back into the bathroom. After locking herself in once more, she started writing down what she needed to do to make project "**18" a success. First order of business was reserving that watch before it was sold to someone else. For this she needed to sneak out further than the bathroom, but she couldn't arouse his suspicions. She quietly washed her face and got dressed. After making sure that Jason still hadn't woken up, she closed the room door.

However, the moment the door closed, Jason woke up. With closed eyes he felt around the bed. Not finding Jenny, he opened his eyes and called out for her. He shot up from the bed and opened the room door, where he found Jenny heading to the stairs. "Jenny wait up!". Jenny got startled by his sudden call out and jumped up in her rushed movement. She turned around and tried to behave normally as she felt caught despite not doing anything suspicious. "Ah Jace, you finally woke up. I was just about to head downstairs for breakfast." Jason walked over to her and asked, "Are you going to make me walk the full distance while wearing just this?" Jenny awkwardly replied, "He he he...No of course not" and met him half way, where he kissed her good morning. "Wait for me, let's have breakfast together."

Jenny shook her head frantically as she could not have him tag along, because she needed to call the store. She quickly wracked her brain to think of an excuse and blurted out that she couldn't because she had agreed to meet up with Julia. Jason was clearly disappointed and said, "Oh...Really...Well I guess that waiting isn't an option then. Will you be home for dinner?" With a forced smile Jenny said, "Of course. It shouldn't take long. I should be back in an hour or two." and hurried away before she would be forced to tell another lie. Feeling guilty about the lie she had already told, despite it being for a good cause, she decided to make the lie the truth and asked Julia to meet her at the warehouse they had seen the watch. She figured she could go in person to reserve the watch instead of calling them.

Luckily, Julia was free and could meet up with her. Jenny let out a sigh of relief as she quickly made a sandwich for herself and walked out the door before Jason could catch her again. In the car she sent Julia the name of the store and asked her to meet her there. When Jenny arrived at the store, Julia was already waiting for her as she lived closer to the warehouse than she did. She sped to her and said, "Thanks for meeting me here so last moment." "Of course, but why the sudden hurry?" "I needed an excuse to go out of the house without Jason." "An excuse? What do you need that for?" "For that." Jenny said as she pointed at the displayed watch with a sneaky smile.
