A lazy morning

The next morning, they woke up on time for breakfast, but neither of seemed like they felt like getting up out of the comfy bed they were lying in. Jenny was under the covers and Jason was absorbed in Jenny's book. He seemed to show more interest in it than Jenny, who hadn't picked it up since their landing, so now at least someone was enjoying it. Jenny kept tossing and turning in the bed, unwilling to get up and get dressed, but she was starting to get hungry. When she looked over at Jason, he seemed more energized. He was sitting up in the bed and leaning against the headboard as he was reading her book. Jenny turned to her side as she started staring at Jason, wondering how she could convince him to get up and get breakfast for the both of them. While she was thinking, her stomach started speaking for her as it rumbled. Jason turned to her with a chuckle and said, "I guess it is time for breakfast." He grabbed his phone from the nightstand and looked at the time. "We can still make it if we get dressed right now. Do you want to go downstairs?" Seeing her reluctant face and being quite comfortable in the bed as well, he made another suggestion.

Instead of going to the breakfast hall, they decided to have breakfast brought to them so that they could enjoy a lazy morning. They placed a call to the reception and ordered an assorted variety of breakfast items and just twenty minutes later, a faint knock could be heard on the door and a soft "room service". This got Jenny energized as she shot up from the bed and headed for the door only to be pulled back onto the bed by Jason. "Are you going to open the door dressed like that?" Jenny looked down at her satin shorts and top with a lace rim, that was very comfy but might indeed be a bit too revealing to wear in front of a stranger. In the meantime, Jason had already thrown the covers from his body and grabbed the complementary robe hanging on the back of the chair in the room and opened the door. The guy on the other side tried to enter the room, like he always would, to bring the cart carrying the dishes inside, but was denied entrance by Jason's domineering presence. Jason only uttered the words "I'll take it from here." before closing the door once more, unwilling to let the guy enter and possibly see Jenny in her sleepwear.

Jenny was sitting on the edge of the bed impatiently waiting for the food to arrive. When she saw Jason coming with the cart and smelled the delicious food, she jumped further back onto the bed and got half under the covers. With clasped hands and an excited expression, she waited for Jason to serve her breakfast in bed. Seeing her almost puppy like enthusiasm, Jason couldn't help but feel a bit playful. He threw single grapes in her direction and Jenny managed to catch all but one with her mouth as he said "Down girl. I'm almost done". Jenny chuckled and grabbed the grape that had escaped from the sheets. While she put that last grape in her mouth as well, Jason handed her a plate with all kinds of breakfast items, from waffles to omelettes.

Having a chat while enjoying breakfast, Jason's question from last night popped back into his mind. Seeing as the weather wasn't all that nice today, his initial plan to go to the beach fell through. If it was a sunny day the odds of getting Jenny out of the room today were slim, but with the sky looking so dark and gloomy the odds became almost zero. However, the beach wasn't what he needed to address that topic, privacy was and what provided privacy better than their private room on their almost private floor. The room they had booked was booked on a last moments notice, so that left only the most expensive rooms available. Seeing as money isn't really an issue with a member of the Westwood family, Jason didn't bat an eye as he booked the room for the full duration of their stay. This was a room that had no rooms connected to it. The only room on this floor was the room on the other side of the hall, so it provided a lot of privacy.

With that in mind Jason started the conversation as he asked "Jenny, I have been meaning to ask, but why do you guys never talk about your father? You told me a bit about him in the beginning and you said that you weren't ready to tell me the rest back then, but could you tell me a bit more now?" Jenny's face turned cold once these words left Jason's mouth. She stared at the covers and she had turned silent. Jason wanted to give her the time to gather her thoughts, so he said nothing for a while and just looked at her with a patient expression. After a while he gently said "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to and you definitely don't have to tell me right now. It's just that spending all this time with your family made me think about him, so I became curious. Just as he was about to continue Jenny started speaking. "Well...I don't really like talking about him and I have to admit, I don't really know much about him. That which I do know, isn't exactly positive." Jenny fell silent for another short moment as she was contemplating whether she should tell Jason about her past. She had asked him about his past, so it was only fair that he should know her story. She would have to tell him some day, might as well tell him now. She took a deep breath and started speaking once more.

Here we are with today's chapter! I hope you all enjoy and I will be back here tomorrow. Probably a lot earlier than today as I was able to hand in one of my big assigments earlier this evening. A few more to go, but some of the pressure is off :D.
