A last hug

The time had come for Jenny to leave. They had spent the day leisurely. Simply planning out what they had to do to make Jenny's move go smoothly. Jason would be in charge of taking care of school matters in England. This included making sure she would be able to enroll in the middle of a term, something which not many schools accepted. As well as getting her clothes ready, as private schools in England all have their students wear mandatory school uniforms. And finally he was tasked with preparing a room for her. They agreed, though in Jason's case reluctantly, that they would continue their sleeping arrangements as they did here. Which was in separate rooms. Jason tried to use all kinds of excuses for why it would be better if they slept together in one room, but Jenny was having none of it. She did not trust that he could sleep in the same room and in the same bed as her, without trying to take things a step further. She had seen what he was able to accomplish in a weeks time, she wasn't going to let herself be at the mercy of Jason's devilish charm. So after seeing her determination and having to admit to himself that maintaining his self control with temptation so nearby was going to be torture, he decided this might for now be for the best. Besides, he thought with a smirky grin, he had accomplished a lot already. There would be plenty of chances to change her mind after her move to England.

After dinner they went up to pack her bag together after which they slowly got ready to drive Jenny to the airport. The ride to the airport had never seemed so short. They had even checked in online to allow Jenny to stay with him for as long as possible, but time waits for no man. Jason gave Jenny a last hug, one that was finally reciprocated, and allowed her to pass the gate to customs. Now he had to wait for her return, but he had plenty to do. So he reverted to his normal expression as it was time for business. Everything and everyone had to be perfect for when Jenny returned. He wasn't going to leave anything up to chance. He had worked too hard to gain her affection, he wasn't going to let her regret her decision over some stupid things that could be taken care of beforehand. As gentle as his face was when he was looking at Jenny moments before, that is how intimidating he looked now. Where people were staring at him and forming a crowd around him and Jenny before, they all looked at the ground now. Afraid to even move an inch. He seemed like a completely different person. All his kindness and gentleness was reserved for Jenny. Without her here, there was no need for such things. It wasn't that Jason was pretending to be someone else around Jenny. That person was a part of him as well, but it was a side of him that belonged exclusively to her, along with the right to call him Jace.

Jenny on her end was thinking over everything that had happened in such a short time. She had skated by customs in a matter of minutes and because she had arrived to the airport so late, by the time she reached her gate, it was already time to board. She had just found her seat when the changes in her life crossed her mind. She had gone from an aloof girl to an engaged woman. She went from someone in an unknown and relatively poor family, to the bride of a wealthy and apparently world renowned family. And what was most surprising was that she was willing to move to another country, leaving behind all that she knows, for a man she knew for less than half a year. But somehow she wasn't feeling scared. She wasn't feeling hesitation or regret. She felt serene. At peace. Like finally everything had come together. Like she was meant to do this and she had found her path after an uphill battle. She knew it was way too early to be thinking like this, but she couldn't help herself. With this thought she rested her head and went to sleep. In a few hours she would be home again and she would be too busy and excited to get a proper rest, so she should grab any chances for a few hours of sleep when they presented themselves.
