A full family event

The summer passed by quickly with all of the Westwoods being busy with one thing or another. From parties that they needed to attend and those that they needed to host, to attending Sam's first birthday and preparing for Charlie's first birthday as well, they had much to do and enjoy in those few weeks of sunny holiday. With just a few short weeks of summer remaining, Jenny and Jason were preparing on taking Charlie to his very first adult event. Though they had been able to avoid taking Charlie along to the parties and events they as a couple had to attend, today it seemed they would be able to avoid it no more.

After the brothers continued to extend their stay for another week each time their return flight came in sight as they were enjoying themselves too much and were therefore very unwilling to leave. They weren't rushed by Jenny and Jason or any of the other Westwoods eithers as to both Jenny and Jason they were most welcome guests, which they made sure her brothers knew. Though Jason wasn't very fond of guests and neither was Jenny herself, she had always made clear that her brothers and mother did not count as actual guests. They were here immediate family and could come and go as they pleased. Just as Jenny was sure they would be allowed to do when her brothers moved out and got settled on their own or with a family of their own.

Even back when they were children they had always discussed building their homes right next to each other so that they would be each others neighbours and so that they could share the care of their future children. Allowing them to always remain as close as they were then and allowing their kids to grow up with one another and become close friends as well. When they got older and realized this might not be a very realistic option unless they came upon a large amount of money to buy some land and build their homes from scratch. So, they later altered their plans into one where they would each give the other brothers and sister a key of their home when they should move out of the house. That way the other person would not feel like a guest but as someone who could regard it as their own home.

Jenny kept this promise by giving them a key to the house in the city where her brothers would usually stay during their visits to England and by adding their voices and eye scans to the front gate of the Westwood mansion. This was as good as handing them a key to the premises as well. They hadn't made use of those privileges in the years before as they didn't want to abuse their privilege or cause trouble for their little sister with her husband or in-laws. But now that they had gotten closer to them as well, they saw that they shared Jenny's sentiment. Causing them to feel much more comfortable with a longer stay. Of course still respecting some boundaries to give them time to themselves as well. As such they always considered Jenny and Jason's room as off limits as well as Stephen and Susan's room of course. So, when they were still there or retired to that room somewhere during the day, they would make sure not to disturb them and give them some time to themselves. With such clear understanding of each others needs and such respect for each others boundaries, their stay of almost six weeks had been nothing more than a pleasure and good company.

As their stay had been extended for so long, they too got a chance to join Jenny and Jason at one of the events that were on their invitation pile. Once they decided to join, the event soon turned into a full family event as Susan, Stephen and even Mary decided to join the six of them as well. Leaving no one to stay home and look after Charlie and thus creating the first opportunity for that adorable, cheeky little man to enjoy his first large party. Aside from the kids party to celebrate little Sam's birthday, that was quite an extravagant ordeal as well as neither of his parents or grandparents held back at all. As they entered the venue both her brothers as little Charlie seemed impressed and overwhelmed by all that there was to see. But where her brothers showed their awe in excitement and high levels of energy. Little Charlie took it all in like he did with most things, in utter silence. Just letting his bright little eyes feast on all that there was to see.

Though, Jenny had been a bit nervous at first about taking Charlie to his first event, but now that they were actually here it appeared that he was a natural. Just like when he visited the office and when he attended Jason's classes, he was not crying even once and as long as he was in his parents' arms he accepted the few people associated well enough with the Westwood family to come and greet him as well. Which usually consisted out of a squeeze of his cheeks or trying to give him a hand. With him looking absolutely to die for in his tiny suit, that was a perfect replica of what Jason had been wearing for the evening, he was drawing in more attention than any other person in the room, including his own parents that usually stole the show.

With Jenny's handsome brothers being all suited up, little Charlie looking as adorable as can be and the handsome parents and grandparents by their sides, the whole family was looking so dashing that it was jealousy invoking and blinding to the other people who had attended. Having a child that beautifully handsome and so well behaved was a combination that would make any person envious but especially the wealthy elite and even more so when combined with such a following. This had to do with the fact that the children that attended these events were the future competitors of their own children and Charlie was proving to be a very worthy opponent.

Hello dear readers, I have not forgotten about you all and I am happy to see that so far you haven't forgotten about me or ADM either :D (insert heart emoji)

Though my sight isn't fully restored yet, I wanted to try and at least publish one chapter regardless of the number of breaks I have to take in between.

I hope you enjoy and that you remain patient for the next couple of days, while I do my best to write as much as my eyes allow me. Because though my near sightedness has been fixed, I have trouble with reading words close by as it has become a bit blurry. XD Something which should come to pass in the next few days.
