A big secret

Jason was having breakfast when Garry walked in and greeted him. Before he could walk out to go on about his work Jason stopped him by calling out to him. "Garry..." Garry turned around to face Jason with a curious look on his face. "Yes, master Jason? Is there anything you need?" Jason was a bit hesitant about asking Garry about the woman in white he had seen, but he needed to set his mind at ease. He couldn't be having false hope. Not now that he had finally started crawling back up. "Are there any guest staying with us at the moment in the downstairs guestrooms?" Though Garry didn't understand why Jason would ask him something like that he answered him, but his answer appeared a bit roundabout. "...Guests? Why would there be any guests? Were you expecting someone?" Jason shook his head and said, "No. Never mind. It's nothing." Garry quickly went about his business and Jason soon thereafter did as well.

When the friends came to pick him up for another day of school they found out they were out of luck. But when they came to school they discovered that it might have been for the best. Because when they arrived at school, Julia told them that she had a big secret to share with them. During lunch she made her big revelation. She told them about how she had been in contact with Jenny for the past month. Something that she had been forced to keep a secret because she would otherwise break off contact with her as well. Though she didn't know where Jenny had been all this time, they had exchanged messages and every week she would give her an update on how Jason was doing. Which for the past few weeks hadn't been very great. Something that she had told Jenny about as she asked her to come back. Then she dropped the biggest bomb. She told them that after their last conversation, Jenny hadn't rejected her like the times before and had decided to indeed come back. She had left Jason's side with the hope of him being better off without her, but hearing that he was getting worse by the day, she had changed her mind about leaving his side. She had come to the conclusion that if it was benefiting neither of them, then there was no need for them to be apart.

Of course when Julia had informed Jenny about Jason's state, Jason had not yet come to school. That took place two days after their conversation. So, she hadn't lied when she told him how bad he was doing without her because before that day it did appear as if there was no progress for the better and only for the worse. Jason becoming more reclusive and even doing worse physically and mentally as he was not able to sleep. But she wasn't sure if she would have told Jenny about him coming to school if it had happened before that conversation. It was clear that Jason was still waiting and searching for her. Therefore she had no intention on updating Jenny on his current progress. The only dilemma she found herself stuck in was if she should tell Jason about Jenny coming back and about her being in contact with her or not. She didn't want to get caught in the crossfire, but she felt that Jason could use this piece of seemingly positive news and had actually deserved to know it before anyone else. That was the reason she had informed the others of Jenny's return and that she had finally revealed the secret she had kept for the past month, even from Harry.

"Oh wauw Julia. This is something he wouldn't take well on a normal day. Let alone after all that has happened. Since, you have kept it secret for so long, keep it a secret to the very end. Let them work things out on their own. I am glad to hear that Jenny is coming back, but she has put you in quite a difficult position." Elizabeth is the first who responded and she spoke the words that were on everyone's minds.

George nodded his head as he said, "I agree. Although Jason deserves to know, he shouldn't hear it from you. In the end, the best person for him to hear it from is Jenny herself. Otherwise you will receive his wrath for something that Jenny has asked from you and which might have been the best option in that situation. That is something he won't be able to see right now. Though I don't know how it will go, I think that in this situation we should simply watch from the sidelines. Watch over them, comfort them and support them when needed."

They all felt a sense of worry when they imagined how Jason would respond to the news. They were immediately silenced, when to their surprise Jason was standing behind them all of a sudden. Jason didn't understand their shock or why they were suddenly all looking anywhere else but in his direction. With a serious expression he asked, "Support who? Why did you all fall silent? Is it such a big surprise to see me here or is there something I shouldn't hear?" Nick tried to clear his suspicions "Jason, what brings you here? Of course we would be surprised if you show up so suddenly at a place you haven't been out of yourself for a month now. We came to pick you up this morning, but we heard you had to go to the office. So, we simply didn't expect you here." Selling his words with a slightly awkward laugh and a pat on the shoulder. "Weren't you the one that told me to come even if I didn't feel like it? Even if it was just for a few hours?"
