1 Chapter 00

A long hallway through the castle lead through to a room, seemingly to be empty. Only housing a bed, and a window, no other decoration in the dark musky room. It had only been two months since the owner of the room had started to stay in it, two very long agonising months.

The owner of the small, darkened room was known as Dalis, a pale blonde human male, he was only 25 when he was taken from his home and brought to this strange place. He had tried leaving before, and it didn't end well for him. The owner of the castle wouldn't let him leave, the King was the only person stopping Dalis from dying and from leaving.

King Maxwell was king of the demon race, and had ruled for so long with no end in sight. There have been attempts to overthrow him, all failed. His anger made him very formidable, and not one to take lightly. He was a sadistic tormentor for those who disobeyed him.

"One." A deep voice rang out from down the halls, loud enough to be hear in every room. The sound alone causing the staff to be filled with worry and fear, wondering what had made the king mad this day. Footsteps echoing as he was the only one walking down the empty halls, his eyes seeming to glow in the pale moonlight.

"Two." The sound of the voice drew closer and closer to the person who had made the king mad, shaking with rage. Blood dripped down Maxwell's face and finger tips as he walked the halls, his red eyes filling more with anger the higher he counted.

"I promise, you don't want me to reach three, dog. You won't ever make it out of it alive if I do." The deep voice of the king became as rough as gravel, making the object of his rage shake in fear.

Before the king could say not one more word, the human had got on the floor, crying for his life. "My king... I'm terribly sorry! Please, just let me go back to see my sister, it has been two months since I've seen her! I'm the only one to take care of her, please! I'll never misbehave again!"

Maxwell had gained a smirk, getting down and grabbing the human's face with his bloodied hand, smearing blood on the blondes face. "Oh, Dalis, Dalis Dalis Dalis... That's not how things work here. I took you away because you're here to be my soon to be bride." The blonde had went wide eyed with fear, shaking more as he felt like crying.

"Bride?! I was never told about this... I was understanding that I was here to he a part of staff... Not your damn bride!" Maxwell had got more ticked off with the attitude that he was receiving. The king had stood up, flicking blood from his hand, using the now cleanish hand to push back his black hair. "Yell at me like that again and you'll not have the chance to ever see your sister again."

Dalis had jolted and bowed his head, submitting to the King's words. "Yes sir... I'm sorry Sir, I won't raise my voice or disobey you ever again." Dalis had sat up on his knees, looking to the floor as Maxwell walked to the door, turning his head back slightly.

"Get cleaned up, then come eat dinner. You've cause enough of a delay on time." Maxwell had shut the door, walking away leaving the blonde alone in his room. "I caused the delay... It's my fault like usual, he says I'm here to be his bride, yet treats me like I'm dirt..." Dalis had gotten up and had started to wash the blood off his face, changing to some clothes that Maxwell always had him wear for dinners.

"This suit is too stuffy... and the colours are way to dark for me." Dalis had mumbled to himself, fixing his hair and then walking out down the hall, staying silent as the blonde sat at the table. "Dalis, speak. You don't get to just sit there and look like you've died."

Feeling his rage boil up, the blonde took a deep breath. "I'm sorry my King, how was your day?" Dalis knew well at this point, when he was told to speak it always meant to ask the Raven haired male about his own day, not expecting anything in return.

"It was alright until you decided to disobey me. Now silence while you eat, then leave and go back to your room. I'm sick of looking at your face." Dalis had finally had enough of the King's harsh words to him.

Dalis had stood up, slamming his hands on the table as he started to cry. "You want me as your bride, yet you can't even stand to look at me! You say such harsh things to me, threaten me, and try to hurt me every day!" Maxwell was about to yell back as Dalis cut him off. "Stop being so mean to me if you want me to be your bride! All I want if I'm forced into marriage with you then I at least want to feel like a person, not like I'm worse than the dirt you walk on! I'm not some object to just get rid of, and I'm no pet to just tell to go away! Maxwell, Believe me, I won't be happy here. I might never be happy again, but the least you can do is ask me how my day was, or say thank you every now and then!"

The blonde had ran off, covering his eyes as he cried. Locking his door with his bed pushed against it, then sitting in the window. Maxwell was shocked to say the least.
