Chapter 2: Everything before Leo was kicked out of Hell: Part 1

712 B.C. A female demi-human dragon received a letter. It was from a demon king. He was requesting a test battle against her clan. If he deemed them strong enough, they would form an alliance, demons and dragons protecting each other throughout the universe, as Zeritha's clan, the Zel clan, isn't only on Gaea. She saw no good reason to refuse. She knew better than anyone else her clan was widely known for their great stamina, allowing for impressive combat feats, as was this demon king, known by few as Helius. While she didn't know what Helius would say deems them worthy of forming an alliance with, she was confident that her future would include seeing demons much more frequently. And she ended up being very right. They had fought to a complete standstill. While there was no bloodshed during the 6-months long battle, everyone was covered in bruises, and couldn't even crawl. But those nearest the center of the battlefield realized something amazing and beautiful as they watched their leaders trade blows. Zeritha's and Helius' eyes were ablaze with love.

As they were both immortal beings, neither Helius nor Zeritha had an issue of taking it slow, so they dated for several centuries, until being married in 0001 A.D. They had thoroughly explored each other's bodies, but they were still virgins.

They would take each other's virginities during the honeymoon, and Zeritha became pregnant with an egg. Because they have so many powerful enemies on Gaea, Helius had taken her to Hell, the 2 staying in his castle until she was ready to lay the egg.

Zeritha still worried for her child's safety in Hell. Mortals living in the same dimension as Gaea have "The Grim Reaper" or "Death". Demons have their own version, because demons have their own versions of souls, as when a soul is brought to Hell, any demon can consume it, gaining soul energy, giving them more power, and the more power, the higher tiers of demonkind they can reach. This Demon "Death" is called the Demon Soul Reaper.

Anyone could take over as the Demon Soul Reaper, if they were more powerful than the previous. Unfortunately, they can't be controlled, only bought to do the right thing. Either someone that actually cared about the job would do it right, only killing demons that consume regular souls before they've been judged, and gone through appropriate punishment, if they went to Hell. Mortals souls serve a punishment equal to their sins they commited while alive for a certain amount of time. If they took a life, however many years the person had left would add on to their punishment. Demons consuming souls gives them more power. They have to wait until a soul has been properly judged though.

Someone like H**ler would have to go through having parts of their body cut off, the wound cauterized after every single part cut off, until they were just a mouth and vocal cords, the only sound they'd be able to make is screaming, then immediately be put back together, going through the same thing over and over and over, until the final second of the final year of what their victims would have collectively lived to.

So, because of Zeritha's concern, Helius told her of an ancient ritual that could turn someone into sentient mana. They'd have no soul, and their growth potential would be limited, but their limits could be broken, since their child is half demon, meaning they could still consume souls. So, they performed the ritual, turning their child into living demonic and draconic mana.
