A New World

Hey there!

For those who don't know me, I'm the writer of both Shinji's Playground and The Chess Master! Those who do know me know that I had a rough year, and was gone for a very long time.

However, I've said that I'll try to get back to writing again, so this is what this story is about!

I'm going to write this idea that popped in my mind to get back to a writing routine again, so I'll be able to get back and write my other stories too.

It won't mean I won't put effort into this story but expect lesser quality from what those of you who read my other stories, especially at the start, as I haven't been writing for a long time now.

In the midst of a battlefield, countless red and white demons fighting, tearing each other apart, countless lifeless bodies all around the battlefield, stood a young man. He had messy red-colored hair, with strands of his hair over his violet-colored eyes. He had a lean but muscular build and wore a red T-shirt and black leather pants.

He was looking down at the body of his younger brother, whom he just fought against as his brother was fighting for his father.

"You're blindly following our father, Meliodas, and it saddens me. I'm sure that one day you'll see the truth of our father nature" he said, and then looked up, to look at his father who has just arrived at the scene.

"I've got to say, you've outsmarted me this time, old man. I didn't know you had this ace up your sleeve. It took me great effort to defeat it, together with Meliodas." he said and took a glance back, at the body of the centaur-like demon, laying unconsciously on the ground.

"I'm afraid that the fight has taken a toll on me, and in my current state, I won't be able to defeat you, which is why you got your cowardly ass here"

"You betrayed me, Akuma. Furthermore, you managed to get almost half of the demon clan to your side and openly objected to me. For this crime, I will punish you greatly, so no one else will think of betraying me again!" declared the Demon King, and a magic circle formed under Akuma.

"I, the Demon King, banish you from this world! You'll never be able to set foot in the demon realm or Britannia ever again! You'll spend the rest of your life in an unknown world, alone!" the Demon King exclaimed, and the magic circle shined brightly, blinding Akuma, and when the magic circle disappeared, Akuma was nowhere to be seen...

~~~ Scene Change ~~~

When Akuma opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was clear blue sky, his view of it narrowed by the tall buildings on his sides. He slowly stood up and observed his environment carefully.

'It really is a different world... this kind of architecture doesn't exist in my world... and judging from the state of the near surroundings, I guess that I'm in an isolated alley in some sort of a largely populated town, considering the amount of noise I'm hearing from the people around.

Most of the population around doesn't possess nearly the same amount of magic power as humans in Britannia, and most of them are humans, though there is a bunch of other species I don't recognize, and also there is one place where people who have higher magic power than most of the population gathered in a single place. I guess that's where I should be heading to. but first of all...' Akuma thought and then turned his attention to the other occupants in the alley.

"Give us the money kids..." said a man, of a group of three men, that surround a young girl, who had two other guys by her sides, injured, probably by the same group.

"We're B ranked adventurers! There's no way three E-ranked rookies stand a chance against us so just give up!" said the second man

"Don't worry, we won't hurt ya if you give us the money... we'll only play with the girl a little hehehe..." said the third man

'I'm not so heroic, but getting three people to own me a favor in this foreign place will be valuable.. also, the girl is a part of a species that I'm not familiar with, yet it reminds me of a fairy...' Akuma thought and decided to help them, so he moved at a speed that none of the people involved could see, and appeared behind the three men, placed his hand on the back of the man in the middle, and then the man's eyes turned lifeless, and a small blue ball of energy came out of his mouth and moved into Akuma's mouth, and then man's body fell to the floor lifeless.

As he consumed the life force of the man, a wave of knowledge about this world entered Akuma's mind.

'Who knew that the ability that the old man granted me in my birth will truly help only when he banished me... what an irony' Akuma thought as the two other men quickly turned towards him and shouted:

"Who the hell are you!?" asked one, pointing his dagger at him

"What did you do to John!?" asked the second, who lifted his cane in the same manner

"I was around when I heard what had occurred here, and since I'm in a good mood today, I decided to lend a hand to the three young adventurers, from their big and bad seniors..." said Akuma in a lighthearted tone, with a grin plastered on his face.

"You bastard! You'll pay!" said the one with the dagger and rushed at him, while the one with the cane started to conjure a magic circle, but before he could've comprehended what happened, he was sent flying and hit the wall at the end of the alley. The one with the dagger could only turn around in confusion, to meet with a kick to his gut, then he was lifted by his hair, and was slammed down on the floor, getting knocked out.

"Well, they were pathetically weak..." stated Akuma, and then shifted his attention to the three young adventurers, who looked at him with awe.

They were a group of two young men and a woman.

The first man was a young man with medium-length dirty blond-colored hair, with a sword strapped to his back.

The second man had a tall and strong build and a rectangular head. His brown hair is cut short and he has a goatee.

The woman had blond hair, and emerald-colored eyes, with decently sized proportions, with medium-sized breasts, thin waist, and wide hips.

"You okay there? You two look like you have some nasty injuries"

"N-No, we're okay... nothing a healer can't fix"

"T-Thank you for saving us!" the girl said and bowed, the two men quickly imitating her

"No thanks needed. As I said, I did it just based on a whim"

"Still! You saved us! There must be something we can do to repay you..."

"Well... I'm actually a traveler from a faraway land, and I need a way to earn some easy money... Do you know where is the closest adventurer guild is?"

"Then, we can take you there! We actually were on our way back from our first mission and was on our way to the guild and then those guys attacked us..." said the dirty blond-haired man

"Well then, if it's not too much trouble, please lead the way, miss..."

"Eren! And this is Kaval and Gido" the woman who identified herself as Eren said, and pointed at the dirty blond-haired and the tall man respectively

"Then, please lead the way, Miss Eren..." Akuma said with a devilish smirk as he bent, grabbed her hand, and kissed the back of it, causing the girl to blush madly before he moved to the side to let her lead the way...
