69 The Ceremony

Soon, they arrived at an open field surrounded by many people. 

The large bird descended and landed two meters away from the crowd because of its hugeness so they had to walk over to where the event was taking place. 

As they got closer, the attention of all the demons shifted from the main event and focused on Alex. They could not help but talk, especially seeing how weak and dependent he was on Emilia.

"Who is he?" 

"He doesn't look like us though he smells like a demon."

"I heard the girl has been taking care of him for a very long time now."

"But he is very weak, why bring him to an occasion?"

"I heard he is one of those going to defeat the lord's pet."

"What!"

"Shhhh! He's coming."

Everyone fell silent as Alex and Emilia walked past them. When they had gone off, they continued mumbling among themselves.
